Interior Paints 1) Matt Finish: A matt finish has the lowest level of gloss. 2) Satin: This finish has silk like gloss, explains the name Satin finish 3) Gloss: This is the finish with highest level of gloss Process includes:1) Surface Preparation For any given paint system, surface preparation is the single important factor which would determine its performance. Various surface preparation methods are adopted depending on the requirements of the paint system used and the surface of the substrate. Includes Two important Coats :a. Primer Coat : A primer or undercoat is a preparatory coating put on materials before painting. Priming ensures better adhesion of paint to the surface, increases paint durability, and provides additional protection for the material being painted. They can be prepared with, Solvent Thinner: Can be prepared using Mineral turpentine Oil, which is a general purpose thinner Water Thinner Can be prepared using water

b. Putty: Wall putty is a widely used construction material that is applied to the walls before they are painted. Wall putty is prime quality acrylic based putty with enzyme action suitable for interior and exterior uses. Wall putty is recommended to be used for new and old surfaces, suitable for filling cracks, joints, levelling up uneven rough surfaces such as on concrete, cement walls, ceiling, asbestos boards, brick structures, gyp boards, wooden furniture and doors. Includes; Enamel based wall Putty : Can be prepared using ,whitening powder, water and Enamel Primer coat is necessary before applying the putty Can be kept for months by adding water to the vessel Can only be used for interior surfaces

Ready-to-use wall Putty : Already prepared from the factory Primer coat is necessary before applying the putty Can be kept for months by adding water to the vessel Can only be used for interior surfaces

Cement based wall Putty : Can be applied only on plastered surfaces Primer coat not required before applying the cement based putty Needs to be used within 3-4 hours after preparation Can be used for interior as well as exterior surfaces

2) Repainting: Repainting can be done in order to fill the surface cracks i.e. minor cracks can be filled with Crack filling compounds In case of major cracks, plastering is done by a civil person. The civil person shall be able to match the old surface with the new surface, he shall match the texture. And give it Curing time Process

Exterior Paints: 1. Fresh Plastering: Water jetting : Water jetting is done in order to clear the surface. It is done in order to remove the dust and make the surface smooth Exterior priming or self-priming: Exterior priming: Can be done in a ratio of 1:1, 1 litre primer and 1litre water (1 coat 100%) ,followed by 600gm paint and 400gm water (2 coats-40%) Self-Priming: Coat 1 can be prepared using 1 litre paint and 1 litre water followed by 600gm paint and 400gm water (2 coats-40%) 2.
