KARMA
Guide week 1
Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Good and Bad karma Objectives : Understand the Law Of Karma Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : 1 hour Aids / tools : Writing materials, mahjong paper, marker pens, white board Method : Explain the Law of Karma using slides or pictures. Compare poor people, rich people and normal, handicapped people. Discuss the situation of throwing a ball hard at the wall. Describe 5 good actions that you have done and explain why you think its good actions. Describe 5 bad actions that you have done and explain why you think its bad actions. Conclude.
SITUATION 2 : You became angry and injured somebody badly SITUATION 3 : I always lie to my family and friends
Guide week 2
: Karma : Effects of karma : Understanding how law of karma affects us. : 10 20 participants : 1 hour : Mahjong paper, marker pens, white board.
Method : Discuss picture of what you do comes back to you. Discuss the situation of throwing the boomerang with the events of your life. Discuss the ripple effects of Karma. Discuss how your actions will affect others. Discuss situation 1, 2, 3 and give your views in the form of drawing.
Describe the action above and identify the good values that you see
What makes people steal from others. Why dont they work hard
What is the character of this lady. Why she wants to help others. Why dont everyone do the same.
Guide week 3
Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Identifying good values and bad character Objectives : Learn to differentiate good and bad actions Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Identifying good values and bad character based on pictures that you see. Sing a song or create a poem based on the pictures you have seen or act out a drama scene.

Somebody accuses you of stealing something. Act out how people would react negatively and you will react positively.
SITUATION 2
You have done a mistake. People know that you are the one who did it. How will you respond positively.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Checking your action Objectives : Learn to react positively to negative situations Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Checking your actions Reacting positively to negative situations. Based on situation given, discuss in group and act out how you will react positively.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Listening to others and responding Objectives : To evaluate instructions before acting Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Listening to others and doing the action. Why is it important to JUDGE what others say before you do it. Give your views. Think of 2 things people have told you to do. If I do this what will happen? PLAY THIS GAME Before you do whatever people ask you to do , think of the consequences.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Identifying bad actions Objectives : Learn to think of the consequences of bad actions Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Identify 10 bad actions people do. Explain how they might suffer by performing these bad actions. Each team should have about 5-6 people. Leader will explain the suffering that might happen if bad actions are committed.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Developing our thinking Objectives : To understand how to develop our thinking. Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Based on the picture of the growing plant. Ask participant what a plant needs to grow. Ask them what human beings need to grow for their body. Ask them what is needed for their mind to become better. Ask them to draw a tree. On the branches of the tree write or draw what is needed for the mind to become better.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Speaking positive words Objectives : Learn to create positive speech Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Think of 5 positive words that you will speak to 1. A handicapped person 2. Dying cancer patient 3. A prisoner who is serving 20 years in jail. 4. Someone died In the family 5. Your friend who has a lot of difficulty and wants to give up. Speaking positive words gives people some comfort. This will help to increase your good karma.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Understanding habits Objectives : To understand how habits influence your action Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Habits and your actions Identify 1 good habit/ strength you have. Draw one picture which explains all the good habits of your team members. Each team should have about 5-6 people. One leader from each group will then explain the picture.

Method : How habits are created Situation Your friend gives you cigarette to smoke. You tried for first time. Do you know what happened to you? Ask views. Then you tried it again and again? What happens now. Then you have tried it many many times? What happens now. Then one day you feel you want to give up smoking. But you find it difficult? What is happening now?

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Breaking habits Objectives : To learn method to break habits Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : Breaking your habits Identify your weak habits. What habits that you dont like to see in people. Why do people like you? Why do you think people dont like you? (if any) Ask your friends how you can overcome your weakness? What do you think people should do to help you? Why people sometimes dont want to help you? Why do you sometimes get angry with others? It is important to understand yourself before you can break your habits.

Main Topic : Karma Sub-topic : Achieving your goal in life Objectives : To understand what is needed to achieve my goal in life Target grp. : 10 20 participants Duration : I hour Aids / tools : Mahjong paper, marker pens. Method : What is your dream? Draw your dream on a piece of paper and explain to everyone . How do you think you can achieve it? What must you do to achieve it? Who are the people who can help you?
Have a dream and work towards it. Dont worry about others.
