September 9th, 2013 Parent, Student, and Teacher Mathematics Contract Dear Parent and Student, Please, carefully

read the following and return as soon as possible so to confirm that you are in agreement with, and in receipt of, Mr. Reids mathematics class and grading policies. GRADING POLICY All students will be graded on a daily basis, with a weekly grade calculated according to the following percentages: 35% Class work/Notebook/Participation 50% Tests and Curriculum Assessments: these will be given on a weekly basis. 15% Homework: based on homework given every day plus a weekly homework project. CLASSROOM RULES All students will be held to the same rules. 1. Respect: students are expected to respect their teacher, respect their classmates, and respect themselves. 2. Be prepared: students are expected to have all necessary supplies, in addition to a positive attitude that will allow the successful completion of all work. 3. Complete all work: students will complete all work without exception. REQUIRED SUPPLIES The student is expected to always be prepared to work and, therefore, must bring a onesubject (grid/graph paper) notebook for math only, several pencils, an eraser, a sharpener, a ruler, a protractor, and a calculator (TI 34 II). MATH CLASS INFORMATION Parents and students should be aware that they are able to remain informed of the current mathematics lessons, for both class and homework, by visiting reidmath.blogspot.com. In addition to this, grades are updated on a weekly basis. Therefore, you should regularly review the students grades by visiting www.engradepro.com, where homework will also be posted.
