To Whom This Concerns, This is my formal letter of resignation (this Letter) from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day

Saints (the LDS Church). Effective immediately I hereby terminate any consent to be treated as a member of the LDS Church or to submit to the LDS Churchs beliefs and/or disciplinary procedures. If you attempt to contact me in any way, except via written confirmation of (1) receipt of this letter, (2) completion of the internal LDS Church procedures required to remove my name from your membership rolls and (3) handling of my requests with respect to records (as described below), I will take whatever legal action is necessary to enjoin such contact. I have given this matter a considerable amount of time and thought and I have already suffered long emotionally, mentally and spiritually since having to make this decision. Being born into this organization I did not really have an opportunity to contemplate and question the teachings of the LDS Church I grew up with until I was preparing to serve a mission. Needless to say, I feel Ive been made a fool and I feel betrayed by the only thing Ive known to be true the majority of my life. After an immense amount of research and contemplation, I have found that there are too many discrepancies in official LDS Church history with that which is established in reality by primary sources of historical evidence. This evidence (readily available on websites such as mormonthink.com) shows that the LDS Church as it stands today is nowhere near the same LDS Church that was founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. and I believe that the vision he had for this church died with him in Carthage. Even then, I cannot in good conscience continue to subscribe to the belief system and worldview espoused by LDS Church doctrine and its leadership, factual or not, as it is contradictory to what Ive found to be the most moral and ethical law of all: the natural law of the universe. I have found the organization which stands today is a perverse attempt to conquer private property, finances and resources through the direct brainwashing, conditioning and manipulation of its members and their children, especially through the exploitation of guilt generated by the very things that make the members of your organization human. I would even go so far as to call the Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints a draconic organization, one that is detestable to the cause of humanity and incompatible with a free society that strives to evolve into the modern era. This is not an organization I wish to be even remotely associated with. I consider my baptism, admission to the priesthood and all other LDS Church proceedings involving me to have been conducted without my lawful consent, as I had not reached the legal age of majority at the time such proceedings occurred. Such proceedings were void ab initio. Please disregard all such proceedings and either (a) destroy all original records and copies thereof evidencing such proceedings, or (b) send the original records to me

at the address below and destroy all copies thereof. Any and all other LDS Church records relating to me in any way, wherever maintained, including but not limited to physical or digital form, should be handled in like manner. Do not merely relocate my records or code them as inactive or in a similar manner. I understand what you consider to be the 'seriousness' and the 'consequences' of my actions. I am aware that the LDS Church handbook says that my resignation cancels the effects of baptism and confirmation, withdraws the priesthood held by a male member and revokes temple blessings". This is exactly what I request and I cannot wait to be granted freedom from your organizations damnable psychic vampirism via confirmation of my resignation. (I also understand that I will only be "readmitted to the church by baptism only after a thorough interview", however, you would be fantasizing if you ever thought I would wish to be baptized again.) My resignation should be processed immediately without any 'waiting periods'. I will not be dissuaded and I will not change my mind. I expect this matter to be handled promptly, with respect and with full confidentiality. After today, the only contact I specifically request from the LDS Church is a single letter of confirmation stating that I am no longer on file as a member of the organization and that any and all records of my activity within the organization, including but not limited to physical and digital form, will be stricken from existence or destroyed with the single exception of your organizations Do Not Contact Ever list. This confirmation should be mailed to the address below in a timely manner. With Zero Regrets,

Christopher Ross Maile
