    The Global Coworking Census was conducted by Deskwanted.com in February 2013. It involved counting coworking spaces in countries across the world using online shared workspace directories, social media channels, online forums and news articles. Only workspaces that have a designated collaborative working area, indicate coworking as a core part of their business and offer flexible membership plans (more than one week, less than a six month contract) are included in the count. Private offices that rent out spare desks are not included in the census.
