THE VENUE
GREENBUILD ASIA 2013 will move to a bigger venue at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) which can accommodate up to 700 booths. The PWTC will also be able to accommodate heavy and large construction equipment both indoor and outdoor. It offers many state-of the-art conference and seminar rooms and F&B outlets. The Centre is located close to international standard hotels and a major shopping mall and within the city centre next to the LRT Station and has ample parking facilities at reasonable rates.

MARKET IN 2012
The Malaysian construction industry is set to grow by 8% to reach RM92 billion in 2012 from RM85 billion in 2011 according to the Master Builders Association of Malaysia. Between 55 to 60 percent of the building construction market was accounted to non-residential construction in terms of revenues and number of projects in 2008 and 2009 Overall building construction market would be elevated in growth with the impending 10th Malaysia Plan (2011-2015). Development expenditure by the Government of Malaysia is expected to be $67.80 billion (approximately MYR230 billion). The 2010 budget reported that the construction industry recorded positive growth and has the potential to be further developed with the implementation of various Government development projects. In 2010, allocation totaling RM9 billion is provided to nance infrastructure projects including a provision of RM4.7 billion for road and bridge projects as well as RM2.6 billion for water supply and sewerage services; and, provision of RM899 million for rail facilities, RM820 million for ports and sea services as well as RM276 million for airport projects.
