Form 7: Learning Process

Complete the following form and upload to the Dropbox. Do this for one module (2-4 competencies). Each competency or objective should be addressed.

Course Name: Module Name:

AP Physics Kinematics -----------------------------

Objective:

Students will be able to model motion on various motion graphs (velocity - time, displacement - time, acceleration - time) and infer the behavior of the object in motion as demonstrated on Kinematic Activity 1 with a proficiency of 90%. -----------------------------

How will I know if a student knows this or can do this? Based on the ABCD objective above, the student will demonstrate the necessary proficiency of 90%. With feedback on failed attempts, student can continue to resubmit until proficiency is met. Best ways for a student to learn this:

Experiences: People to see:

classroom discussion and notes, class facebook discussions teacher, lab partner

Place to go (may be virtual): online tutorial, Khan Academy Thing to read: Chapter 2 of textbook

Thing to talk about: difference between position, velocity, and displacement graphs

-----------------------------

AP Physics Kinematics -----------------------------

Objective:

Students will be able to justify and apply Galilean equations with data from prompts and motion graphs with a proficiency of 90%. -----------------------------

How will I know if a student knows this or can do this? Through the use of the planned assessment tool, I know the student will demonstrate competency when he/she has a proficiency of 90%. Citing the teachings of Rick Wormeli, though this chapter is extremely difficult, students will have unlimited attempts at achieving this.
