Graduates-Of-Bahria is a group dedicated to students, alumni, and faculty Bahria University. We encourage professional institutions to join this network to share their knowledge and opportunities with the academia. Graduates-Of-Bahria is a regulated list and emails might be edited or (sometimes) blocked to ensure quality interaction. We would expect our members to use good judgment when posting emails to the network. In order to prevent the misuse and abuse of this network and its membership, the following set of guidelines are suggested and expected to be exercised by all members:

Requesting Membership When requesting membership of the group, please do the following: Introduce yourself your real name, your program of study, your current profession, your previous highest degree, and why you want to join the mailing list. Your email address should reflect your real name. Completely anonymous email addresses are not acceptable. Members (students, alumni, faculty and employers) are encouraged to add their records in the respective databases on the group homepage (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduates-Of-Bahria/database). Up-to-date records will be appreciated.

Contact Us We encourage an open communication channel with our members. Contact us regarding matters of the group, be it suggestions or criticism. We can also try to suggest a solution if you are facing problems with posting or email delivery. So write to us at Graduates-OfBahria-owner@yahoogroups.com

Posting Rules Please restrict the content of the emails to relevant information regarding Bahria University, and information and referrals of professional and academic interest. Please refrain from sending 'non-intellectual' messages, polls, jokes, and 'send it to 10 people or you'll die!' type of emails. It is highly discouraged to use this list for personal gains. Please refrain from engaging in personal, political and religious discussions on this group. We respect your right of opinion and expression, however, this group is not the place for such topics. Please refrain from Spam mailing and mail-forwarding (unless in the sender's good judgment there is a strong reason to do so). Members are advised to refrain from sending high byte-sized attachments that might clog members' inboxes and cause inconvenience. The way to go is perhaps to talk about an attachment in an email and then send them individually to members who might be interested to see those. Often it is possible to paste the URL while referring to a particular web page and/or high byteage article on the web instead of attaching the entire article in the email. The email should benefit at least a majority segment of the mailing list. If you wish to address only a particular person then please send the email to that person only. Sending one-liners and multiple one-liners answering a number of emails should be avoided. If you have to make a short individual comment to a particular member, kindly do so on his or her private email address. Kindly refrain from inter-disciplinary disagreements and concentrate on the benefits we can bring by joining hands as one community on issues on which we can find common ground rather than concentrating on those that are divisive. Maintain professional and intellectual tone at all times and refrain from engaging in personal discussion. Also, please honor the right of privacy of other members, as if it were your own. Exercise good judgment and discretion in forwarding members' email address or contact details to non-members. Quoting members' identities or messages (especially out of context) is considered unethical and must be avoided. Ask a member directly if you want to send his email address to someone outside the network.

Privacy Policy Being a restricted list, Graduates-Of-Bahria limits access to its records by outsiders and unwanted people. However, we seriously consider your privacy. We assure that the information in the groups contact lists and member directory is treated in the best professional and ethical manner. We DO NOT share personal details of any member with any other person (member or non-member) without their prior consent.
