Worship will be extra special these next two Sundays at First Baptist Church.

This Sunday, June 30, in the AM services, we will be celebrating Vacation Bible School. Both services will feature highlights from Bible School and much more. I will be preaching a special message in both services for all ages. I hope you will plan to attend. On Sunday evening we will have a special Patriotic Emphasis as we approach the Fourth of July. A report from our youth and their Merge Camp experience will be Sunday night, July 14. On Sunday morning, the 7th of July, we will observe Baptism is the morning services as we rejoice with those who have given their hearts and lives to Jesus. Then in the evening, we will observe a Silent Lords Supper Service. This silent communion service has touched many lives over the last few years and has become a favorite service of many. If you have not experienced such a service, I encourage you to come and be a part of this celebration. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the great things YOU are doing. See you Sunday

VBSPECTACULAR!
VBS has concluded and it has proved to be an exciting week for all participants. The decorations in the Worship Center and each classroom were over the top again this year. The excitement level has been off the charts! Thanks to Kelley and Sydney Harrell for doing a super job leading the worship time and music classes again this year. YOU ROCK! Special thanks to each adult, youth and child who has worked tirelessly this week to open Gods Word to those who need to hear it.

CELEBRATION OF THE 4TH

The evening worship time on June 30 will be a celebration of God and Country. The Chancel Choir will share a great patriotic medley in this service. Please meet in the Choir room at 6:10 PM for our last runthrough before we sing. Our awesome Youth will also share their report of their recent Mission work in Memphis, TN. Come Sunday night and be blessed!

The summer months are a great time to slide-in to the fun of Chancel Choir. No rehearsal this Wednesday, due to the 4th of July, so well return on July 10 at 7:45 in the Choir Room. God may be calling you and your voice to serve Him through Chancel Choir.

Thrive Ministry Mission Team- We are hosting the Thrive Ministry Mission Team on July 21st. They are students that use their talents to spread the gospel and led by Mark Hall. They will come and share their talents through karate, puppets, dance, and praise and worship. We will also be able to hear a few songs from Mark and a few of the other Casting Crowns band. We are needing to host them the night of the 21st. I am looking for 10 host homes. Your responsibility will be to give them a place to sleep, feed them a small breakfast, and bring them back to the church on Monday morning to catch their bus. If you are interested please see me ASAP! Merge- We had an AWESOME time at Merge and we will be telling about it on July 14th at 6:30 p.m.. All students are asked to wear their Merge t-shirts.
