THE COMPANY

BEI, now a Johnson Screens company, is a leading manufacturer of reactor internals. BEIs high quality internals come from a modern and reliable manufacturing facility in France and are made by the hands of qualified and dedicated employees. BEI supplies reactor internals to some of the worlds most renowned companies providing process equipment for refineries. Thanks to the quality and flexibility of its production facility, as well as the availability of its field service team, BEI has been able to develop license and partnership agreements with key operators and licensors in the petrochemical and refining industries.

THE PROCESS
BEI designs and manufactures a wide range of vessel internals used in downflow or upflow systems: To safely retain the media To provide a collection area for process flow across the entire vessel diameter or length To optimise performance with latest technology designs To efficiently utilise the entire cross section of the bed of media Thanks to their strength, durability and flow characteristics, BEI products are widely used in hydrotreaters, desulfurizers, hydrocrackers, molecular sieve vessels, sand filters, gas sweeteners and other adsorption processes.

QUALITY

BEI provides quality documentation for its vessel internals, including statistical process control charts, mill certificates, quality plans, inspection and testing plans, as built drawings and various other reports that may be required. PMI (Product Material Identification) is conducted, on request, on incoming material and completed products. Enhancement treatments are available for all internals and include pickling, passivation, stress relieving, polishing and plating.

DESIGN FLEXIBILITY

BEI offers a variety of Custom shapes and sizes to meet any process or vessel requirements (high loads, pressures, temperatures or specific configurations) Materials such as 304, 316, 316L, 321, 347 and 410S stainless steels, and exotic alloys Special features required because of vessel design or operational constraints (fabrication in sections, manways, dump tubes, etc.)

PRODUCTS

INLET DIFFUSER
Spreads incoming gas or liquid evenly over the catalyst bed.

SUPPORT GRID
Self supporting grid retains catalytic media. Designs vary to accommodate different loads, temperatures or specific configurations: Side-by-side construction (SBS) will be recommended for media retention systems requiring heavy loads; large rectangular bars are welded to the screen support rods, creating a very strong structure. Single rod construction (SR) can be used for lighter loads.

Design grids with larger, heavier flanges can be designed, allowing the grid to span greater distances, minimizing the need for support structures. Support beams can be added depending on process requirements.

DISTRIBUTOR TRAY
Collects, mixes and redistributes incoming gas and liquid. An even distribution over the entire reactor cross section results in a uniform pattern and optimum process performance. Each tray is precisely designed & manufactured following customers technical specifications. Trial assembly of all internals is performed in the factory, checking dimensions, evenness, etc.

QUENCH MIXING TRAY, INCLUDING QUENCH PIPE

Cools gases to allow optimum conversion. Each assembly is precisely manufactured following the customers technical specifications. Internals are test assembled in the factory, to confirm dimensions, levelness and mating points between the multiple levels.

OUTLET BASKET / BOTTOM COLLECTOR

Prevents treatment media from migrating out of the vessel. Designed to withstand the load and to ensure a uniform flow collection. Can be supplied in sections to pass a manway.
