Mechanical Engineering Scholarship SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING SCHLUMBERGER SCHOLARSHIP NOTES FOR APPLICANTS FOR ENTRY

IN 2013 1. All applicants must be studying towards A-Levels including Mathematics and at least one from Physics (preferred) Biology, Chemistry, Design/Technology or Further Mathematics. Note: applicants not offering Physics at A-level should have a minimum of a grade B in GCSE Physics or Double Award Science. Applicants must be predicted grades of at or above the minimum entry level for MEng Mechanical Engineering. 2. Please supply a recent driving licence type photograph of yourself. (The type obtainable from an automatic kiosk would suffice). 3. This is a female only scholarship initiative aimed at encouraging more female students towards a career in engineering. 4. Please ensure to read the terms and conditions which relate to the Schlumberger Scholarship before submitting your application. All completed forms should be returned to the address below The Director of Education School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Ashby Building Stranmillis Road Belfast BT9 5AH to arrive not later than 1 March 2013 ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION PROCEDURE GENERAL INFORMATION All assessment procedures will be conducted by Schlumberger. All final selection decisions will be issued by Schlumberger. a) The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering will collate all applications and pass directly to Schlumberger. b) Applicants progressing beyond short listing stage will be invited to attend interview and assessment by Schlumberger. c) All scholarships are awarded by Schlumberger and regulated by conditions agreed with Queens University, Belfast (a copy of which is available on request). d) Schlumberger reserves the right to approve, review, award and withdraw scholarships.
