    Get Serious With The Word

    How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:103-105).

    o you want to lead a successful life? Then youve got to make up your mind to get serious with Gods Word. Gods Word turned a slave boy into the Prime Minister of a foreign country (Genesis 41:37-44). It doesnt matter how big or grandiose your dreams are, the Word is powerful enough to bring them to pass. Regardless of where you are today, if you settle down with the Word of God, itll give you permanent prosperity. Im not talking about prosperity for a few months or years, but unshakeable wealth with sure foundations. I began to learn this secret as a student in high school. By the time I was through with secondary school, my Bibles and Christian books had far outnumbered my schoolbooks. I knew what to invest my life in. You have to make the right investment in Gods Word. Now dont just go buying books and displaying them on your shelf; youve got to read them. Buy tapes, CDs and DVDs and listen to them. Dont assume you were in the church service so you heard everything; rather, take some time to listen to the message again and again. You cant listen to Gods Word long enough without it making lasting and remarkable impact on your life. Even when youre not facing challenges for which you need the power of Gods Word to effect changes,

    you still must take the Word of God seriously. Always remember that Christianity isnt just about solving problems or overcoming challenges; its a life of glory. Living in Gods Word is living the higher life, where you dont find yourself asking God for something or calling for Him to help you out of one mess or the other. Life can be more glorious and fulfilling, thats why you need practical knowledge of Gods Word.

    Dear heavenly Father, I rejoice in your Word like one who finds great treasure. I thank you for its transforming power causing me to advance in every area of my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.
