The event will take place May 18-19 2013 at the Poliquin Strength Institute in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

In our fourth year, we continue to bring together some of the industrys best in the collegiate, professional and Olympic strength and conditioning arenas. You will get a chance to learn in a very interactive and intimate setting, and get knowledge that is directly applicable to your work. This year we have a combination of highly successful strength coaches from the National Football League, Major League Baseball, a coach with a record number of Olympic medals in his pocket, and the Eleiko Sport Head Olympic Weightlifting Coach. This will be a weekend to learn, network, and share.

CHARLES POLIQUIN
Charles Poliquin is one of the most accomplished strength coaches in the world. He has designed workouts for Olympic medalists in 17 different sports, world record holders in 10 different sports, and professional athletes in the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, and UK Premier League. He has lectured or consulted for a variety of high-profile organizations such as the US Secret Service, Walt Disney Corporation and the World Swimming Congress.

HAROLD NASH NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS


Harold Nash has just finished up his second season as head strength and conditioning coach for the 2012 season after working six seasons (2005-2010) on Head Coach Bill Belichicks staff as assistant strength and conditioning coach. Nash is in his eighth season as a full-time coach following an all-star career as a defensive back in the Canadian Football League and is a veteran of 13 seasons of mentoring young athletes. Beginning in 1994 and continuing throughout his CFL tenure, Nash served as an assistant to highly-regarded speed coach Tom Shaw, assisting over 30 college defensive backs in their preparations for the NFL Draft. Starting in 2000, he also worked with the Nike Football Group to teach speed, agility and quickness to some of the nations top college prospects.

MOSES CABRERA NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS


Moses Cabrera is in his second season as the Patriots assistant strength and conditioning coach, where he assists head strength & conditioning coach Harold Nash in the teams year-round conditioning program. Cabrera was named to the position on March 31, 2011 after one season as an assistant strength coach at the University of Colorado. During his time in Boulder, Cabrera was responsible for the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for the schools football team. Prior to his season at Colorado, Cabrera spent six years as an assistant strength coach at Fresno State where he was responsible for the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for incoming football players, mens basketball, womens lacrosse and womens soccer. Cabrera held graduate assistant strength coach positions from 2001-04 at Oral Roberts University, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Fresno State.

ANDERS LINDSJ ELEIKO SPORT


Anders Lindsj is the head strength and weightlifting coach at Eleiko Sport in Sweden since 2005. He conducts the Eleiko Strength Coach, Eleiko Strength Camp and all Olympic Lifting course for Eleiko Sport at the Eleiko Sport Center in Halmstad, and numerous other places world wide. Anders is a well-established international weightlifter and competed in the Olympic Games 1992 in Barcelona. Since then he became the head coach for the Swedish Olympic Weightlifting team and have been the author of the entire coaching manual for the Swedish Weightlifting Federation. Anders has been involved in training and coaching athletes in all kinds of sports with a focus on strength, power and explosive training. His knowledge of Olympic lifting and functional training has benefited athletes in soccer, ice hockey, basketball, floorball, and handball, to name just a few sports.

PAUL CATER
Paul Cater enters his second year as an associate strength and conditioning coach for the Baltimore Orioles organization after being hired in January of 2012 to help shift the culture of training in baseball towards higher force exercise prescription. Cater came to the Orioles after a 6 year stint in professional rugby, primarily with London Wasps Rugby Club from 2005-2010 where he worked as a rehab specialist. Hired to help accomplish similar culture changes in rugby, the team earned European, League and Domestic titles during his tenure. After starting his academic pursuits at University of California, Davis, where he played football for the successful Aggies from 1995 to 2000. Cater continued his education in London, earning his Masters from Middlesex University and his Poliquin CIPC levels I, II and Bio Signature Certification. Seeking further mentorship from some of the top professionals in applied European sport science, his proficiency in both developing and maintaining power during longer competitive season cycles grew. With his ability to work within a diverse spectrum of sporting cultures while finding the most efficient solution for strength and power gain, he aims to continue the string of success with the worlds best players and organizations.

YVES NADEAU SHORT TRACK COACH


Yves Nadeau holds a level 5 coaching certification from the Canadian Coaching Association (NCCP 1993) and a level 3 (1969) coaching certification from the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance. Mr. Nadeau started his coaching career in 1970, coaching canoeing and kayak. He was a rowing coach from 1972 to 1976, when for the first time one of his athletes participated in the Olympics. He started coaching Speed Skating in 1980. From 1982 to 1995, Yves Nadeau was Head Coach of the Canadian Short-Track team. During his fourteen years as Canadian National Coach, his athletes have been medalled over 200 times at World Championships and Olympics. The ladies and men he coached during that period were World Champions 14 times. Mr. Nadeau started doing consulting work for the International Skating Union (ISU) in 1992, giving seminars to coaches and running training camps. Over the years he has worked in Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden and The Netherlands. Since leaving Canada in 1995 he has been National coach for France (1995 and 1996), Great Britain (1999 to 2001), and the Netherlands (2001 to 2003). In 2003 Yves Nadeau started working on an ISU development program for Eastern European countries, to help these countries prepare for the 2006 Turino Olympics. He ran seminars and training camps for coaches and junior athletes. The countries that participated in this program were: Austria, Byelorussia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland. Apart from speed skating and rowing, Yves Nadeau has also worked with professional hockey players, triathletes, marathon runners, skiers and cyclists. During his coaching career Mr. Nadeau received many awards as a coach: The Laurat Montralais in 1988, 1990, 1992, and 1994 The Mrite Sportif Qubecois in 1984, 1989, 1992, 1994 The Longine Achievement Award in 1989, 1990,1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 In 1997 he was given the 3M award for his coaching career achievement. In 1993, Yves Nadeau was inducted in Speed Skating Canada Hall of Fame and 1999 in the Club de la Mdaille dOr Hall of Fame.
