Mission
The Battle Cruisers only purpose is to subdue other species starships to find a cure for the Phage.

Background
The Battle Cruiser represents the transformed Vidiian society that now directs all of its efforts towards finding a cure for the Phage, a terrible disease that has ravaged the Vidiians for two millennia. Equipped with its hypothermic charges, the Battle Cruiser can easily disable most other species starships, the better to harvest those species organs. Orthographic Views

Features
The Battle Cruiser is equipped with powerful particle beam arrays equivalent to Federation Type XI phaser arrays, providing the ship with superior close-range firepower. Even more impressive is the ships hypothermic charges, missile weaponry ideal for disabling enemy ship systems. As a precaution against others using the same technology against them, the Battle Cruisers critical systems have been heavily reinforced. Like many other starships in the space in the vicinity of the Caretaker in the Delta Quadrant, the Battle Cruiser lacks transporter technology, and relies primarily on its two grapplers for hostile boarding actions with enemy starships.

Hypothermic Charges
The hypothermic charge is particularly effective against unshielded targets. Effect: On a successful hit that damages the target ships structure, reduce that structure by an additional point. e.g. A hypothermic charge that has penetration 5 that strikes a shield grid with threshold 3 deals 3 damage to that target ship s structure.
