Grey Cardigan
Usually when a sample for a new product comes in, our product development team immediately starts a list of things that need to be changed before we can go to production, and a second sample eventually is produced to respond to the list of changes. The day it arrived, this cardigan was just right. We looked and looked at every detail and try as we may, a list of changes was not happening. It is a great colour. The weight of the fabric is right. The buttons are right. It has excellent bound pockets and ribbed cuffs. The neck binding is great, and the sizing is excellent. All we had to do was add the embroidered Legion Logo. Were sure youll be as happy with it as we are.
Ladies Black Quilted Jacket

Every now and again youll buy a garment that you dont know how you got along without. You find yourself wearing it all the time. This is one of those garments. Its dressier than a fleece jacket, but just as warm. The waffle quilt pattern bridges that gap between casual and dressy. It has a classic cut and the detailing is exceptional. The cuffs can be turned up and the seam is finished so that it doesnt look scruffy. Side seam pockets arent the shallow ones just big enough for your hand, theyre actually big enough to put something in. Great zipper. Nicely embroidered with the Legion Logo.
Since their arrival, these jackets have been jumping off our shelves. And little wondergood quality materials combined with versatile design makes them an excellent value. Fleece inside and a windproof, weather resistant exterior combine to keep you warm on those days when you cant tell whether that stuff coming out of the sky is rain or snow. For a little extra protection, the collar flips up, the bottom edge has a draw string and the cuffs have a velcro adjustment strap that seals them up against the wind. Blue Spring/Fall Jacket

We are confident that these fully lined spring jackets will be really appreciated by our members at the very economical retail price of $34.95. The shell of these jackets is made of a heavy textured nylon while the lining is lighter for comfort. Our Legion Badge is embroidered 4 high on the left-front in full colour. Legion gold and blue piping has been used to nicely accent the collar and wrist bands. The jackets are finished off with a good zipper and lined pockets.
Blue Fleece Jacket

Very often we find ourselves using a garment in a way it was not intended for, the typical example being a zip-out fleece liner for a coat ending up as a jacket unto itself. With this comfortable fleece jacket, you will no longer need to do that. This jacket is luxurious, heavy, Legion blue fleece with ribbed knit waistband and cuffs, a heavy duty zipper and ample kangaroo style pockets. Each year, when Spring finally arrives, we Canadians enthusiastically shed our heavy Winter garb. But just as we are going out the door, the little just in case voice reminds us that going completely coatless may be more foolhardy than wise. Here is a jacket that will instil confidence as you venture forth. This fashionable microfibre jacket is a great windbreaker and is fully lined for that extra little bit of protection against those unexpected Spring weather events. We opted for the more reliable metal zipper, and incorporated a storm flap to keep the wind from seeping through. Enhanced features include top-stitched seams and collar and an inside breast pocket. This golf pullover is made using a special micro fibre specifically made for its wind resistance and protection against the other elements that youre inevitably subject to while enjoying the great game of golf. We ordered cotton for our first production samples, but they lost their shape after being washed. VIMY RIDGE, 1917

BIRTH OF A NATION
On Easter Monday, April 9, 1917, 100,000 Canadian soldiers stormed and captured Vimy Ridge in France. It was one of the great victories of World War I. Although the cost to Canada was high - 3,600 dead and more than 7,000 wounded - historians say this victory marked the birth of Canada as a nation. It was the first battle in which all units of the Canadian Army fought together, and their success was overwhelming. After the war the Canadian government determined the battle should always be remembered, and decided to build a monument at Vimy Ridge. Reaching 40 metres into the sky, the Vimy Memorial is made from 6,000 tons of white limestone. Resting on it are 20 figures that represent Canadas soldiers and the principles they gave up their lives for. The Members of The Royal Canadian Legion join with their neighbours across the country to express our gratitude towards all members of the Canadian Forces, past and present, by celebrating the courage and commitment of those brave Canadians who fought and won the impossible victory at Vimy Ridge.

At the darkest hour before the dawn on 11 November 1918 a train car sat in a forest 50 kilometres north of Paris. Inside, a treaty was signed to end hostilities that had ravaged Europe for more than four years. Six hours later, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns fell silent. It was the beginning of the end of the Great War, the War to End All Wars. As the news spread, there was celebration in some places, but at the Front, where soldiers stared at each other across No Mans Land, no one cheered. For certain, they were happy to still be alive, but all around them, as far as the eye could see, lay devastation beyond belief. Culture in Europe, centuries in the making, lay in ruins. Eight million people had been killed. Those who survived laid down their arms and returned to their homelands with memories of fallen comrades memories that would never leave them. The following year, King George V declared 11 November to be Armistice Daylater to be known as Remembrance Daya day to remember all those who had made the supreme sacrifice in service to their country. Subsequently it grew to become an annual tradition, increasing in significance after World War II. Canada was profoundly affected by the events of World War I. A generation of young Canadians had experienced life changing events and had seen their comrades perish. Even those Canadians who did not go to war were affected by the loss of friends or family members. The tradition of Remembrance, and its perpetuation, on 11 November grew out of the grief we feel and our need to care for those who return from war and whose lives are changed forever. Today, more than 90 years after order and sanity was restored to a world of chaos and desperation, we are reminded of the sacrifices that were made and are still being made, summed up in the Royal Canadian Legions enduring mottoLest We Forget.

Vimy T-Shirt
Canada put forth a great effort in building the Vimy Memorial as an eternal reminder of the sacrifice for courage and principles. D-DAY 1944 - JUNO BEACH
Of all the significant events of the 20th Century, the Normandy Invasion on 6 June 1944 was the most important, changing the course of history. It marked the beginning of the end of Nazi rule in Europe and ultimately led to the development of the modern world. Canada made a major contribution to the D-Day attack by taking responsibility for one of the five beachheads, known forever afterwards as Juno Beach. 14,000 Canadian troops by ship and 450 by parachute landed in the early hours of that fateful day, supported by the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Juno Beach represents the will of Canada as a nation to preserve and defend freedom and democracy, not only for ourselves but also for others saddled with the yoke of oppression. Lest We Forget Collector Cards
The Tradition of Remembrance is a priority of the Royal Canadian Legion. It is not often that the Supply Department discovers products that are dedicated to that cause. The company producing these cards has collaborated with Veterans Affairs Canada to produce an attractive and well informed series of cards that will appeal to students, educators, parents, veterans, history buffs, Canadians from all walks of life. They are an ideal way to engage children in conversation on Remembrance. These cards illustrate people, events and equipment related to D-Day. Subsequent series will illustrate the First and Second World Wars, Korea, and other chapters in Canadas history. High quality, full colour images are printed on premium trading card stock in the standard 3.5 x 2.5 size, meaning that they will fit into commercially available vinyl collector card pages. Each series of numbered cards has checklists so the collector will know exactly what cards are needed to complete the series. Cards are available in packages of eight cards, 24 packages to a box. Individual packages have a suggested retail price of $3.95 so the cards may be used to generate funds at the branch. Cards are also available in complete sets (112 cards), either with or without a special collector card binder. The producers of the D-Day Collector Cards have introduced another item of significance to the Tradition of Remembrance- a Teachers Resource Kit. The kit comes in a compact binder format which contains a complete set of D-Day Cards (112 Cards), a 50+ page lesson plan and a DVD. The lesson plan is composed of 11 teaching modules based on the Collector cards covering 4 grade level groupings from Elementary Grade 4 to Post-secondary. The modules are engaging and informative, and are accompanied by several pages of individual assessment sheets for student progress. The DVD contains grouped images of the cards for video classroom presentation and video interviews with Veterans. This kit is useful not only for teachers but also for guest speakers at Remembrance activities in the school setting.

VICTORY 1945
Considering the profound impact that the events of the Second World War has had in shaping the modern era, it is little wonder that there was such great celebration in allied nations when victory over the axis powers was announced. After 6 years of devastating conflict, in all of the allied nations citizens and military personnel alike were all overjoyed at the prospect that victory was finally at hand. Poppy Suncatcher Necklaces

These quality necklaces offered by Legion Supply are made to our specifications. Both the necklace and pendant are 24 karat gold plated. The full colour Legion and Ladies Auxiliary Badges contain durable hard enamel finishes. Both necklaces are made with a medium length 18 chain. We expect these necklaces to be popular so we have offered a quantity price break on 10 or more units. As with all of our Poppy images, careful attention was devoted to make sure that the Poppies on our suncatcher are the real Flanders Poppy (Papaver rhoeas). We focused the same attention on quality and durability as well. We could have reduced cost by using a lesser grade of glass and a monofilament hanger like most commercial suncatchers. Instead, we use double thickness glass, bringing the weight of our 18 cm (over 7) diameter suncatcher to about half a pound; the image is finely crafted with colour fast acrylic bonded to the glass, the edge is finished in traditional stained glass lead caming, and suspended with a sturdy chain. Note also that the Poppy Suncatcher does not come with a suction cup suspension hook. This is not an oversight - we actually recommend that you suspend your Poppy Suncatcher from the window lock or a screw hook firmly fastened to the window frame. Carry on the tradition of displaying a Poppy in your window in a new way this Remembrance Day.

Lanyards
We have had these three lanyards custom made with our name in English or French on two of them and with Canada on the third. These lanyards measure 21 overall and fit comfortably over the head with the silk like polyester strap. These lanyards include an easy to use snap closure mounted on a swivel and a clip that allows the user to conveniently detach the end. This is of particular use when the lanyard is used to hold keys or access cards. Because these lanyards are frequently used as promotional items we have priced them individually or when purchased in quantities of 10 or 100.

This belt is made from genuine Italian leather a full 1 wide and 1/8 thick. The one-size-fits-all belt is 55 long fitting waists up to 50. The belt is easily sized by cutting off the excess before you clamp on the secure buckle. There is a very quiet revolution going on in packaging. Durable, reusable tote bags over the past few years have reduced the ubiquitous plastic shopping bag enormously. Reusable totes, as good as they are, are not something you want to be carrying for any length of time. Travelling is always an exciting time, full of adventure-- that is, as long as the adventure is as much fun as you intended it to be. One sure way to make sure that your adventure doesnt turn into misadventure is to keep your travel documents and identification secure. Heres a handy device to do just that. The Legion passport pouch is proportioned to carry a standard Canadian Passport and more. The passport will fit in either the upper pocket or the second, zippered pocket. The Lower pocket is fitted with a clear vinyl window which can hold another document that you may have to present, such as a boarding pass or ticket. Legion Pen
Each year at Christmas the Legion sends a gift to every Canadian soldier serving overseas, in cooperation with the CF Operation Santa Claus. The gift differs from year to year, as we get together with some of our suppliers to come up with items that our troops will use and appreciate. This years offering is a stationery kit that contains custom letter paper, envelopes and an excellent ball point pen. When we saw the quality of the pen that our manufacturer offered us for this project we knew right away that we should offer it to you the membership in our next catalogue. If your office is like ours, Im sure you can find what seems to be an unending supply of pens, all of which are singularly forgettable. This pen is not like that. It has weight to it. During the Remembrance period, and throughout the year, it is traditional to display Poppy arrangements. What is surprising is how few arrangements resemble the actual Papaver rhoeas (or Flanders Poppy). It took the manufacturer of these arrangements a full 8 attempts before we were satisfied that the silk Poppies were a close enough match to the Papaver rhoeas. Additional authenticity is provided by added greenery that is common in the wild. Vimy Lantern
This is a reproduction lantern originally issued to Lieutenant Charles Henry Boothe who served in WWI with the 198th Battalion Canadian Buffs. These lanterns were issued to many Canadian servicemen in WWI. A critical feature of these lanterns was their ability to fold and fit into the included tin case. The lantern itself measures 3 by 3 and is 5 high, includes a chain for hanging, real glass panes, and a candle.

Crystal Decanter with Legion Badge

This genuine crystal decanter has been etched with our Legion Badge. Etching is permanent and provides excellent detail. The 29oz decanter has a traditional square profile and is most suitable for spirits. It is made in Slovakia with a minimum 24% lead oxide. Lead was first introduced to the glass mixture about 300 year ago since it helped lower the melting temperature of the glass from 1100 to 800 degrees. This was critical as wood was used as the fuel to heat furnaces in that period. It was soon learned that the lead also made the glass softer and easier to cut. The oxide also provided excellent light refracting properties which make the crystal sparkle once it has been cut and polished. This majestic decanter measures over 9 in height.

Adjustable Cane / Walking Stick

Unfortunately, few of us will make it through life without requiring a cane at some point. So why are nice canes so hard to buy? We think this cane answers the question with its many features. It is adjustable from just under 26 to a full length of 54. This allows us to describe this item as both a cane and a walking/hiking stick. It contains an Antishock system. The internal springs absorb impact as the cane/walking stick impacts the ground. It is made of aluminium making it both very light and very strong. Bola Tie
The centre piece of this tie is the 1 circular gold plated cast mechanism that includes a full colour hard enamelled Legion Badge. This mechanism easily grips the cord once the tie has been slid to the desired length. The cast tie tips are also gold plated. This bola tie originally came with polyester cord. We suspect it was made by the same individual who invented round polyester shoelaces, you know, the ones that wont stay done up unless you triple knot them. Large Shadow Box

Thanks to some diligent effort by our product development team, we are now offering an improved version of the Large Shadow Box. At first glance they look the same9 x 12 opening, 12 x 15 outside frame dimensions and an easy opening backing. The improvements are in the details. These frames are made in Canada of solid walnut with a customized rosewood stain in a satin finish. Like the old ones, they can be displayed either portrait or landscape, but the new design features a routed channel for hanging rather than the brass loops. Shadow Box, 9 x 6
These shadow boxes are made with solid hardwood frames. The measurements we provide, 6 x 9, are the internal frame measurements (size of the visible portion of the glass). Overall these shadow boxes measure 9 x 12 . The backs are completely removable allowing you to install court mounted and individual medals. The removable backing is lined on the display side with a plush blue ultrasuede and velveteen on the exterior. Brass fittings are mounted on the rear for vertical and horizontal display.

Only once in a while does a product come along that generates excitement the minute it is in our hands. Finding this line of frames is one of those moments. Flag Case
Flag cases are traditionally used to store and display the flag presented to a family member or recipient at the completion of a ceremony. This cases frame and stand are made from solid hardwood, merbau, which once stained closely resembles cherry or dark mahogany. The large case is 12 high with a 25 base, and is 3 deep, making it sufficient for displaying a 6 x 3 or a full 4 x 9 flag. Tribute Ceremony Candle

In recent years there has been a type of ceremony that has been growing in popularity in some regions of the country. This service, called Candlelight Tribute Ceremony, was started in the Netherlands in 1995 when Dutch children placed lighted candles on the graves of Canadian Soldiers, leaving them burning overnight in silent tribute to the fallen. Since that time, these tributes have spread across Europe, and were introduced into certain areas of Canada. In response to an increasing number of requests for a candle that would suit this purpose, the Supply Department has selected a candle light that is made in the Netherlands specifically for this purpose. The Stormy Weather Graveyard Light was introduced in 1963 by Bolsius, a family-run company that started in 1871. The simple yet elegant design of these candles features a 100% pure refined paraffin candle, contained in a durable translucent red plastic shell with a flame-proof, weather resistant metal cap. Suitable for outdoor use only, this 5 inch high candle is easy to light and will burn for 50-60 hours, in temperatures from +25 to -10 Celsius. Solid Wood Urns

With regularity we have been asked for digital artwork so that an urn may be produced for a deceased member. It is these requests that have prompted us to offer this Canadian made line of solid wood urns. Essentially two styles are offered here with the Victoria model available with or without an insert for a photograph. Overall the Victoria model measures 9 x 9 x 9. Memorial Markers
Headstone markers are available with the Legion Badge, for Legion Members, or the Poppy, for Veterans. Overall dimensions of the Legion Badge casting are 4 high by 2 wide. Overall the Poppy casting measures 3 high by 3 wide. Both castings have an integral tab cast into the marker for fixing to a headstone. The markers can be permanently fixed to a headstone by drilling a bore hole ( deep), filling the hole with epoxy, and inserting the cast tab. We suggest that a professional perform this after consultation with the cemetery and headstone manufacturer. If you do not wish to bore a hole in the headstone, the tab may be cut or ground off and silicone or other permanent adhesive may be used.

Memorial Flag Holders

Memorial flag holders are available with the Legion Badge (for Legion Members) or Maple Leaf. Overall dimensions of the Legion Badge flag holder casting is 5 high by 5 wide. Overall the Maple Leaf casting measures 4 high by 4 wide. Both holders are permanently fixed to an 18 iron rod. The flag is held in place through two eyelets cast into the back of the marker. These can be used as memorials with or without a flag. Canadian flags have been produced specifically for use with these holders.

Here are the required steps to shape a beret: Note the exceptional craftsmanship on the waistband of the trousers Skirt is lined, with side pockets and loops for easy hanging. 1. Start by cutting out the lining of the beret to reduce bulk and ease shaping. If you are not shaping the beret it is better to leave the liner in. Form fit the beret. Soaking the beret before donning it 2. will help stretch the wool and form it to the wearers head. Most of the berets material should be pulled down so it drapes over the right ear. The cardboard stiffener should be centered over the wearers left eye so the headband is about two finger-widths above the eyebrow. Pinch the cardboard stiffener so that the wool dips down behind it. Tie the two laces in the back in a non-slip knot for a snug fit, then cut off the ends of the ties. Dry the beret by just wearing it until it dries. 3. The beret is worn with the band one inch above the eyebrows, the beret crest over the left eye, the beret pulled back and smoothed to the right side. Beret crest is over the left eye. The Legion Beret is an intrinsic part of the Legion Uniform. It clearly identifies an individual as a member of our distinguished organization. The Supply Department takes pride in providing a quality product to serve this critical function. These berets are solid navy blue with an embroidered Legion badge mounted on the front. They come in adjustable sizes; small, medium, large and extra-large. Recently the Supply Department has improved the quality of the beret by working with our supplier to secure a source of Australian Merino Wool, which is the ultimate in wool fibre. It is in high demand due to its resistance to pilling, excellent colour retention and wearability. Merino wool has been produced continuously in Australia since 1797, when a flock of Spanish Merino sheep were brought to Sydney by two British Military Officers and sold to local landowners. Among them was Elizabeth MacArthur who became a legendary figure in the Australian Merino wool industry.

Branches, Zones, Districts and Commands of The Royal Canadian Legion have established a time-honoured system for showing appreciation to those members who dedicate their time in service to the branch by serving as elected or appointed officers. Such members are awarded medals and ribbon bars that signify positions held. There are also awards for outstanding service beyond the call of duty. These awards cannot be bought by the member; instead, they are bestowed on the member by their branch or command. Dominion Convention 2010 authorized the creation of Branch and L.A. Service Medals for members of the Branch and of Ladies Auxiliaries to the Branch to recognize the significant volunteer and service work accomplished by members of your Branch, outside of or prior to their acceptance of leadership positions. The authorizing/approving authority is designated as the Branch Executive Committee (in the case of the Branch Service Medal) or L.A. Executive Committee (in the case of the L.A. Service Medal) and/or respective General Membership Meeting. Qualifying criteria are the responsibility of the branch or L.A. Qualification for the Service Medal should be a significant level of service provided by the member to their Branch/L.A. It may be awarded in addition to any awards/ medals previously received by the member. Branches and Ladies Auxiliaries can purchase these Service Medals in the same manner as other Medals for Past Service such as a Past Officer or Past President Medal.

The Royal Canadian Legion has a proud tradition of service to Veterans and their families, and to the communities in which they live. Legion Branches and Commands across the country recognize the service that Legion Members provide through a system of Honours and Awards. We try our best to provide you with the plaques and supplies necessary to operate your branches, to honour Veterans, and to acknowledge volunteers who provide countless hours of service. In spite of our efforts, on a daily basis, we are asked for a different plaque, urn, or some other item that we just hadnt thought of or that it just isnt economical to make in small quantities. It is those requests that inspire us to offer this cast Legion Badge all by itself. This Badge is available for all those items that we just cant make. The casting measures 3 in height by 2 wide and has multiple layers of gold plating over a very hard steel casting. A small bolt, with included nut, has been welded into the back to assist in mounting the Badge to a variety of surfaces.
Medal Presentation Boxes

There are many circumstances where it would be preferable to present a medal in a box suitable for a public ceremony. For such occasions that we offer this presentation box. These 6 high by 3 wide clam shell style boxes are made of tin, coated with a thick composite, and the inside of the box is felt lined. It is sufficient in size to hold any Legion Medal. Tribute Ceremony Candle

In recent years there has been a type of ceremony that has been growing in popularity in some regions of the country. This service, called Candlelight Tribute Ceremony, was started in the Netherlands in 1995 when Dutch children placed lighted candles on the graves of Canadian Soldiers, leaving them burning overnight in silent tribute to the fallen. Since that time, these tributes have spread across Europe, and were introduced into certain areas of Canada. In response to an increasing number of requests for a candle that would suit this purpose, the Supply Department has selected a candle light that is made in the Netherlands specifically for this purpose. The Stormy Weather Graveyard Light was introduced in 1963 by Bolsius, a family-run company that started in 1871. The simple yet elegant design of these candles features a 100% pure refined paraffin candle, contained in a durable translucent red plastic shell with a flame-proof, weather resistant metal cap. We recognize that obtaining a good quality plaque at a reasonable price has been difficult for you. Customizing the plaque for Legion use proved difficult when digital artwork was required and in the end you had a product made of some composite material, yet it seemed like you were paying for a precious metal. The difficult part for us has always been the custom engraving which meant that every plaque ordered had to be dealt with as a separate order. Here we offer to you plaques designed and made for the Legion but supplied with the engraving plates blank so that you may have them engraved locally. The need for this item arises from the fact that a wealth of charitable donations are made by you, the Branches of the Royal Canadian Legion. While we cannot ship out large flat cheques, we can produce the remarkable portion of the cheque that would not be economical for you to have made. These reusable templates are 36 wide by 16 high. You will receive these templates rolled up with the intention that you will locally obtain foam core or Coroplast to mount them on. This can be done with any contact cement or adhesive. This line of greeting cards has been produced in-house by The Royal Canadian Legions own Patrick Riley. Comrade Riley created these images using authentic WWI uniforms supplied courtesy of Canadas War Museum. These are economical because they have been produced in-house with the printing arranged locally. Sold in sets of 10 or a sample pack, 2 of each, these cards are priced quite affordably when compared to the $4 and up charged by others for a single card. The cards have been printed on brilliant white 80 lb card stock and are supplied complete with envelopes. Another nice touch is the fact that the interior of the cards has been left blank. We thought you, like us, would prefer to include a personal note rather than an impersonal statement written by someone else. Membership Recruitment Awards

Membership does matter. Recruitment of new members is the lifeblood of the Legion. To assist in this all-important endeavour, the Supply Department has responded to a request from the Membership Committee with a selection of awards exclusively for use by branches. The Membership Committee encourages your branch to use these awards as incentives for your members to bring in friends or colleagues who will become members themselves. These awards, while affordable for the branch, are prestigious because they cannot be resold by the branch, nor can they be bought by an individual. The criteria for awarding Membership Recruitment Awards are determined by the branch, so there are no bothersome applications, forms or reporting to deal with. If your Branch Executive or Membership Chairperson would like more information, please contact either the Membership Section or the Supply Department for assistance.

A. Legion Logo Sign
This may look like a license plate but it is not. In response to many requests for affordable Legion signage, the Supply Department now offers this versatile Legion Logo sign suitable for outdoor use. It is made in the style and material of a license plate, but at 5 x 11 it is slightly smaller than a license plate, and the mounting holes are in a different location. Weatherproof in all seasons, it will prove to be very useful in all sorts of situations where a small reflective sign is needed.

Cast Resin 29 Legion Badge

This badge has been specially made of a durable poly-resin suitable for outdoor use. The colours are permanent and fade resistant. The finish is designed to endure severe weather conditions and is washable and repaintable. Included with the badge are instructions and mounting bolts that fit into threaded fastening holes in the back of the badge. Unlike its much heavier metal counterparts, this badge weighs in at 7.5 kg (16.5 lb), making it useful in many more applications and considerably reducing installation challenges.

SGT-AT-ARMS Arm Band

These are blue and gold cloth armbands with an elastic panel on the inside of the arm, so that they will fit over the sleeve in both winter and summer. Worn on the left upper arm.
Vinyl Gauntlets (shown at right)

White gloves are always susceptible to getting stained when handling a flag and pike on parade. They are also less than comfortable in inclement weather. These vinyl gauntlets can be wiped clean, and are weather resistant. They are unlined, so they can be worn in warm weather, but also can be worn over another glove for warmth in winter.
Servers Apron with Legion Logo

This comfortable cotton twill apron allows the server to keep everything handy in its four deep pockets. The apron contains two large pockets (7 x 9 and 7 x 7) and two small (1 x 7). Embroidered with the Legion logo in red and white on the black fabric background. With an adjustable, up to 70 inch circumference, one size will fit all. Coasters with Legion Badge

If you have tried to obtain custom made coasters you probably soon realized that they are prohibitively expensive to buy in small quantities. Only when tens of thousands are ordered does the cost become reasonable. These packs of 100 coasters are custom made for The Royal Canadian Legion with our Badge nicely displayed in the centre. We ordered enough to make them economical. At just under 10 apiece it is now affordable to place a Legion coaster under the glass of a member. Though these 3 coasters, made with an extra heavy 40 point stock, are not defined as reusable, they certainly are thick enough that they can be reused until they start to show wear. We specifically ordered these coasters with a blue background in a heavier weight to allow them to be reused. Although intended primarily for Branches, members may also obtain these coasters for use at home.

Sgt-at-Arms Sashes
Sgt-at-Arms sashes are another item where we felt we could do better in terms of value. These sashes are virtually identical to the ones we have been offering for years except that the Legion and Ladies Auxiliary badges are embroidered instead of the mounted plastic badges. We happen to think the embroidered badges are preferable and at half the price we are certain youll find these do in fact represent much better value. The Legion sashes are available in three sizes while the Ladies Auxiliary is available in the smaller two sizes. What we describe as Short, Medium, and Tall has internal circumferences of 49 (short), 61 (medium), and 69 (tall). If you are uncertain about size you may use a cut piece of rope or fabric measuring tape to determine which size is most appropriate. What we now describe as medium is the size of the sash we previously offered.

These white gloves are made from a washable 100% nylon. The nylon is a stretchy variety allowing one size of glove to fit all users. A single snap at the wrist insures a secure fit. The gloves are accented by three lines of stitching down the back of the hand.
There are plenty of cheaper slings available, but they cannot compare in value with this product. It is made from white leather, heavier than belt weight, constructed with heavy duty stitching and rivets. Lesser products will wear out in a couple of years. 400153 This one will last decades.

This is one of those items youll undoubtedly kick yourself for not ordering. The nice part of this disposable rain poncho is that it is clear so you wont stand out like a rubber duck in wet weather. Supplied in a thin pack, suitable for a blazer pocket, where it can be tucked away until required.
Legion Chaplains provide countless hours of volunteer service to branches and commands. It was suggested that a stole be made for wear by a Chaplain performing this critical role in The Royal Canadian Legion. This non-denominational stole is made with an ultrasuede front and cotton/polyester backing. Both ends of the stole are fringed and embroidered with the Legion Badge. This stole is our own exclusive design and is being made to our specification.

Handling a tray full of drinks is not as easy as it looks, but using a tray designed specifically for that purpose makes the task easier. The Legion Servers Tray is manufactured in Canada for the Legion by a company that specializes in restaurant supplies. It is made of thick, high impact black plastic, rigid enough to handle a full load of drinks and stand up to the intense wear and tear of a bar. Branch Banners
In response to numerous suggestions from branches, the Dominion Command Ritual and Awards Committee has authorized a new, lighter design of branch banner, which replaces the old design, composed of stitched-together cloth components bearing two heavy embroidered badges. Unlike the old design, the new banner is lighter and easier to carry, and can be rolled and stored in a flag carrying case like all your other flags. The new banner will be custom embroidered with your branchs charter name, as always. The Supply Department is happy to announce that the new style of banner is lower in price than the old one, and with fewer seams and stitching in the body of the banner, it will be quicker to make and deliver to your branch.

If we roll the clock back a few years, flags provided by Legion Supply ranged in price up to $98. The material used varied as did sizes. It was at this point that we decided that we must offer a comprehensive line of flags. This offering of flags is the result of our research and sourcing efforts. We have made the transition to flags using grommets replacing rope and toggle. Grommet clips are available in the flag accessories section of our annual catalogue. All colour party flags are available with fringes and in both 6 x 3 and 54 x 27. Please note that flag protocol requires that the Canadian flag be at least as large as any flag displayed in our colours. It is our hope that offering an increasingly comprehensive line of flags has transitioned us into a source of flags for all members and branches.

There are several components to a complete flag unit. There is the obvious flag, pike, pike top and stand. Offering sets including all of these components only results in forcing you to settle for something that is close to what you really wanted. This is why we are now distributing all flag components separately. All components are compatible with a few exceptions. The acorn tops will not fit on the wood pikes and the 1 wood pikes will not fit in the economy stands or angled wall bracket. Aside from these exceptions, the balance of tops will fit on any of the pikes.

Pikes are now available in a full range. The 1 diameter oak pike will not fit into the economy stand or angled wall bracket. All pikes are the standard 8 in height. The wood pikes thread together where the aluminum pikes contain an internal spring clip to hold them together. Pike tops, flags, and stands must be ordered separately. All pikes are supplied with the required C clips to hold the flag in place. Wood pikes are supplied with only one C clip as this is all that is required. All metal pikes are shipped with the required and installed wood plug necessary to mount all pike tops.

Flag Pike Tops

All of these flag pike tops fit all pikes with the exception of the economical plastic acorn top not being compatible with the wood pikes. This plastic top will also require you to remove the wood plug from the pike (only 1 screw). All pike tops are supplied with the necessary mounting screws. You will be required to install 1 or 2 screws to attach the tops to your pikes.

To complement Legion Supplys growth as a full line flag supplier, two stands are offered. The hefty premier stand weighs in excess of 5 lbs. The premier stand is constructed with a collar to fit a 1 diameter pike but includes a piece of plastic tubing allowing it to be used with 1 diameter pikes. The economical folding stand uses four extending rods for stability rather than weight. The folding stand will only accept pikes up to 1 in diameter. Both stands are made with brass plated steel, intended for indoor use only.

Legion Volunteer Button Chicago Screw Head Set
Yes, we still carry it. There are still lots of the older design pikes out there that dont have the spring button attachment. Buy several of these and put them in your pocket when you go on parade. You know somebodys will go missing at the most inconvenient time. Solid Brass Maple Leaf Pike Top Volunteers are the driving force in the Royal Canadian Legion, but they are often not easily identifiable. Heres a great way to identify those who so generously give their time to the Legion. This 2 diameter button bears the Legion Logo so it can be worn by any volunteer. It attaches with a standard pin back found on most campaign type buttons, and is durable and reusable.
Grommet Clips
Over the last few decades the use of flags with grommets has replaced almost all with rope and toggle. Grommet clips are required to attach flags with grommets to the halyard (hoisting rope) on flagpoles. These clips are available individually. Two are required on all of our grommeted flags except for the 4 x 9 which requires three.

Wall Bracket
This cast aluminum wall bracket, white powder coat painted, is designed to work with all 1 diameter pikes. The bracket is suitable for use with flags or banners as it may be used to hold the pike at 45 or 80. Included are a thumbscrew, to hold the pike in place, and the necessary mounting screws.
Legion Logo Pin

The Supply Department has developed a simple but effective Lapel Pin to make the name Legion more visible, and to promote the organization, providing opportunities to attract new members. Pricing of these pins is structured so that Branches can raise funds by selling them, or use them as an inexpensive promotional item.

Flag Fringe
From an inventory management perspective it is impractical for us to offer all provincial flags with fringe. For this reason we are now offering the exact fringe used on our flags. This fringe is sold by the yard and will be provided to you uncut in one continuous length. Fringe is typically used on a sleeved flag although there is no reason it cannot be used on a flag with grommets. Fringe is used only on three sides so 15 feet is required for all 6 x 3 flags.

A good quality dart board can make all the difference in the world to the level of enjoyment of the game, for both amateur and skilled players. The Power Head II dart board we offer has two features that will enhance your dart playing experience. First is the horse hair composition, known for its superior dart holding ability. You dont have to throw a 90 mile-an-hour fastball to make your dart stick. Second is the nobounce dividing wire grid. Inferior boards have an actual wire grid that is superimposed on the board to separate the sections. The wires are thick, and a dart that hits the wire will bounce off and end up on the floor. The new technology incorporates a series of thin metal sheets that are imbedded in the board itself, presenting only a thin edge for the dart to strike. Your dart is much more likely to deflect and stay stuck in the board.

Here is where we separate the real crib players from the rest. Finding a crib board without plastic pegs is normally about as easy as scoring 19. It is time to recount that hand because you will no longer have to heat up paper clips to melt into the holes in your board to remove those snapped off plastic pegs. This board made in the traditional 29 layout includes metal pegs in brass, black and silver colouring. Three of each peg are included so you have one spare in every colour. Shuffleboard Rocks
High quality Shuffleboard rocks are essential to consistent play. Shuffleboard rocks are also referred to as shuffleboard pucks or weights. Sun-Glo Professional Grade (Spangler) pucks have patented thumb push-offs. Spangler pucks are high-polish solid stainless steel (not chrome plated). Stainless pucks last much longer than chrome plated pucks which are more common. However these cheaper pucks use a chrome plating process that will tend to chip or peel over time. These are the large tournament size 2 5/16'' diameter. A set of rocks consists of 4 Red and 4 Green.

The three essential steps in providing a good surface to your shuffleboard are cleaning, polishing and waxing. Jett Shuffleboard Cleaner has been specially formulated to cut through waxy residue, leaving your shuffleboard squeaky clean. Use about once a week. Glass Tankard with Pewter Badge

This 15 oz (440ml) glass tankard is made by Arc International, which is based in France and is one of the oldest and finest glass companies in the world. Started in 1825, it has been owned by the Durand family since 1916. The classic tankard shape is enhanced with a 2 inch (10cm) cast pewter Legion Badge. This tankard is an excellent choice for special presentations, as it can be engraved. It is suitable for daily use and is dishwasher safe. Our supplier, Pewterglass, previously known as Presstar, is a privately owned Canadian company that has been in business for 20 years making quality pewter products. All of their products are hand cast and hand polished using lead free pewter. This pewter is Canadian made by AIM metals in Montreal. All Pewterglass tankards come with a signature pewter thumb tab.

Since their arrival, these jackets have been jumping off our shelves. And little wondergood quality materials combined with versatile design makes them an excellent value. Fleece inside and a windproof, weather resistant exterior combine to keep you warm on those days when you cant tell whether that stuff coming out of the sky is rain or snow. For a little extra protection, the collar flips up, the bottom edge has a draw string and the cuffs have a velcro adjustment strap that seals them up against the wind. All this and theyre good looking too- dark blue with a beautifully embroidered Legion Logo.
