Hands of Love Group Systems End of Year Statement for the Future of
2009

A Personal Message From Sister Ling Founder of Hands of Love GS

I would like to start by stating that, “One of the greatest changes over the last several years that has taken
root in the third world and in developing nations, has been the lack of public expression of this change.”
“One of the more important issues of 2009 will be the course of the recent cessation of violence that has
lead to the demise of human life in less numbers as had been seen in the past.”
For many who have taken up the service of International Studies and Humanitarian Work, the task of
service in this field can be un-daunting and endless.
Facts and figures of what has taken place as real change can almost seem non existent based on the
general consensus of the public at large.
In the back drop of the acceptance that for many who live in poverty that life for some has gotten a little
better, is the unspoken theory of the Lessening of Financial Support as well as a change in direction of the
attention to world issues that matter the most.
The community of Corporate Sponsors and those who by their means and ability who give to world issues,
have to soon be viewed with the same hard lined views that brought a level of change to the third world and
developing nations in the first place.
A view that has gone well beyond, “What is ones individual responsibility to see to the needs of others
who share a place in this world, as a person and a people with special needs and circumstances.”
There can be no right or wrong way to serve or to ask for funds to continue serving!
Those who give and give generously have to be seen as morally concerned people whom have proven over
time and their commitment based on their financial effort, to be just as important as those who through their
work and dedication to the poor have made a difference.
What as we stand today can be seen in this industry called “World Sustainability” as its future if this does
not happen very soon?
An industry that in some ways has lost its way because things have un-expectably improved a little, but still
cannot be seen as acceptable in the humane standards of human life, by the lives people in the world of
today still live.
Living in garbage dumps, raising children 10 paces from a working rail road track, drinking water from
where livestock baths and drinks, child abuse can not in any way be seen as a world fit for children or any
one else!
This is one of the very same reasons that those who are called the Philanthropists or the Benefactors give
as they do in the world today.
The power of the future in World Aid is:
Trust and Truth.

In all that has been said and done, “Yes things have gotten a little bit better for the poor and disadvantaged
of the world!”

And this needs to be said!

If this fact over the coming year is left out then the world of World Aid is going to change in a big way.
The very same fear of censorship certain organizations are facing and the depletion of their funding as
the end result of proclaiming the change, is one of the main reasons that many NGO’s do not want to
paint a brighter picture with in what has been achieved thus far.

The fear that their funds will be cut or dry up.

It is also very hard to pin point a specific reason that NGO’s might want to hide the truth from those who
have for the most part been supportive through financial gifts and donations. But one fact is that the last 10
years has been a witness too many tragedies, in as far as what has transpired in human conduct and what
changed this course as of late.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo at this very minute there are over a half of a million people who have
not just lost their homes, but could have been targeted as victims of mass mutilation and murder in their
attempt to flee.
They up to this point have not suffered in great numbers this fate.

In the law abiding world there can not be in it a dialogue to say,” Hey you’re getting better Mr. Rebel dude
thanks for not massacring them or removing an arm or leg.”
But in many ways there is a certain type of gratitude and feeling of hope for him (the Rebel) and his
accomplices that he has grown and changed too
Because today he has showed some restraint in his actions including the actions of those who follow him
and their cause.

One day maybe in his life time things might one day be better for all.

But he can never be told this face to face in this way.

He might know and understand this part of change in his world, just as the Donor must know their part in
change and in many ways the Donor has footed the bill.
Part of the reasoning that many have chosen in the past a certain way of expressing their dislike and
distrust has been thorough violence and the violation of others rights to exist in peace may be,
“Acceptance”.
This is a fact that had been seen in the 1990’s and early 2000’s and more recently changed.

Part of the change was a new lack of “Acceptance” of the act and the hard fact that how some choose
to tell the story, may have been too inexperienced to understand the long term effect of glorifying this
type of behavior.
In the photos and words of many who covered the worlds need to know there was not enough
accountability provided by many in how the story was told.
I cannot here cite particular works, but in the beginning stages of my group this was one of the main facts
that was brought to World Leaders and cited as, “Not helping.”

In the facts that were presented at that time there was a sense of truth to the social barence of creating
trends and places in these trends for those who killed and maimed their neighbor to find a place in society
and still belong in today’s society.

This was one of the main things that Hands of Love lent its back to be changed.

It is wrong to kill even if at the time it is seen as right by the individual which is also part of the psychology of
those who kill and create genocide.

They are mad (angry) and then the madness spreads. By the time the act is even realized as maybe going
too far or wrong it is too late and you have now killed many and others have done the same.
You have to keep going it seems unless some one stops you.
In the end you become the killer with a cause and over time a small nobody who has lost the trust of every
one around you for committing some of the most horrendous acts imaginable

You then live with this forever and ever.

This too was brought to the Armed Combatant.
Today he and in some cases she has changed.

As the World Aid Actor who in some ways had to play patsy to this very intricate level of dialogue that was
established at very high levels and very low levels.
The issues changed there too.
Those who have in some cases given their life to the service to the world of World Aid and World
Sustainability may have then felt short changed.
That from out side of their realm there was a great hand in stopping some of the violence.
An outside realm that consisted of people that were new to the International Community who turned to
some of the same Government Leaders and Officials that in some cases were blamed by the World Aid
Actor and they were now enlisted to see their nations and people differently and act as Leaders.

Today it is very noticeable that what has taken years to build in trust for many who have worked in the third
world and developing nations has been affected by this so visible change and method.

During this time the relationship between the Service Provider or Charity and the Donor was strained and in
some ways both were made to seem some what accountable for what had happened.
In most cases they are not but it cannot to be true to what changed said, “In all cases”.
This is a fact that cannot be taken away, removed or done away with.
The fact that, something was very wrong in the world of people helping people in some cases several
years ago.

This fact now seems to have turned into guilt and even denial.

Guilt of those who at one point may have become so fearful of what was happening and seemed to be
spreading, that World Aid Actors of just a few years ago may not have thought that they would even be
alive today.
Denial that any one but the combatant could be at fault.

The fact that genocide was on going and unstoppable at one point, they (the World Aid Actor) could not
have thought much different or believed it could be changed.
Nor could some believe that, “How the life of the many poor in the world was conceptualized by many, may
have added to the chaos.”
But this today has changed and in no way can the mission of changing just part of an improvised life be
stopped to not go on to change other parts of the same life.

This fact in the coming year is more of the New Fact of All Missions, World Officials and all active parties in
the International Community.
“To be forth coming in acknowledgement of what the Corporate Sponsors and the Philanthropist are now
waiting for:

“Acknowledgement that he or she too was also a part of the change that has happened.”
This lack of such an acknowledgement will now and in the very near future be the hidden fact of why funds
are drying up, not just the economy no matter what you may be lead to believe.
No one at this point seeks names or how this was achieved but only the fact that his or her dollar was there
when change came.
One of the most difficult tasks in World Aid in 2009 is the Donor and their relationship with the
Administrative Receiver of the donation.

We hope that as members of the International Community and all those who have dedicated either parts or
all of their life of the Global Advancement and Security of all the people all over the world and beyond. Can
take this fact as a fact to think about as what can be done next to continue the progress that will live well
beyond the MDG to forge a path for a new and better world for all!
Thank you for your consideration in this matter and "May the coming year bring good fortune and
progress to all!"
