ASharedMemoryWalk,throughaseriesofinstallations,textiles,ceramics,photography,film byinternational,nationalandlocalartists.

13 artists from Gujarat, Lancashire, Ahmedabad and Manchester have been exchanging ideasandtravellingtoeachotherscitiesoverthelasttwoyearsaspartofaprojectcalled Cotton Exchange. Textile artists, weavers, photographers, film and media artists, potters and designers; they have all made new work which has been installed in the dramatic environmentoftheOldRajnagarMill.Tellingstoriesoftraveltheworksexplorethelinked cotton heritage between India and the UK and more specifically the two great cotton centresoftheworldAhmedabadandManchester. This project has been made possible through a partnership between Centre for Heritage Management(CHM)atAhmedabadUniversityandManchesterInstituteforResearchinArt andDesign,ManchesterSchoolofArtatManchesterMetropolitanUniversity,inassociation withNationalTextileCorporationLtd.(AGovernmentofIndiaUndertaking).
