Hidden a side effect of an education o Lessons which are learned but openly intended e.g. transmission of norms, values, and beliefs conveyed in the classroom and the social environment. o Those values that teachers pass on through verbal and non verbal communication Extra / co-curriculum represents the planned experiences outside of the formal curriculum the aspect of curriculum that holds the most appeal for students and keeps them engaged.

Curriculum frameworks Provide us with categories useful for sorting curriculum docs, decisions, and assumptions. They help with curriculum analysis, but they are only a tool; critical reflection must accompany their application if a vibrant, relevant, engaging, challenging curriculum is to be created. Questions to explore: Is the curri appropriate for our students in terns of its developmental progress and academic rigor? Is the curri engaging? Does the curr support teacher/student interaction?
