Downtown San Diego is reachable in 20 minutes by car and 45 minutes by public transport. There are many supermarkets such as Bristol Farms and Vons, within a ten minute walk. There are also many conveniences, such as Starbucks coffee, McDonalds, Subway sandwiches, currency exchange services, banks, and department stores.

DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMMODATION Costa Verde Village is made up of 6 complexes of over 1200 apartments. Students can choose between single or shared apartments. Each apartment consists of a living room, bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, sink, and a bathroom. In each bedroom there is a bed, a bedside table, lamp, and a closet. The apartments have a sharing ratio of 1 bathroom between 2 students. Bed linens and towels are provided and changed weekly, but students must bring their own beach towels. Each apartment has a clothes washer and dryer which students may make use of at no extra charge. Students can make free local phone calls. To make international calls, students need to buy a phone card which will unblock the phone.

JOURNEY TO SCHOOL Costa Verde Village is located only a 45-minute bus ride or a 15minute drive to school. Directions by bus: Walk to La Jolla Village drive (just 1 minute walk from the complex), the sign on the front of the bus will read downtown S.D.and take bus #30. Exit the bus in downtown La Jolla at Silverado Street and Hershel Ave. Turn left and walk to Girard Ave. Turn right on Girard and walk to the end. You will then see the Living Room caf, cross the street, turn right, walk down the stairs on your left, cross the plaza and you are at EC San Diego. Students can purchase a bus pass from several supermarkets, the rates may vary but usually start from $5 a day or $72 per month. Directions by car: Go left on Costa Verde Blvd. and turn left at La Jolla Village Drive. Turn left at Torrey Pines Road. Continue driving down the big hill and turn right at Prospect Place. EC San Diego is located at the intersection of Prospect and Girard Avenue, at 1012 Prospect. Our school can be difficult to see from street level, so look for the Living Room Coffee House and EC San Diego is located downstairs.

NOTES A $150 security refundable deposit, payable by credit card, is required upon arrival. Should no damage to property be encountered upon inspection, students will be refunded after departure. Smoking is prohibited indoors, by the pools and in common areas. Students can smoke on the balcony.
