EMRC is an International Organisation established in 1992 and headquartered in Brussels composed of a network of entrepreneurs, financiers, consultants and officials

from around the globe. A member organisation, EMRC supports Africas private sector and promotes North-South economic and trade relations. Our main activities are the organisation of business events in Europe and Africa, leading economic field visits worldwide, running tailor-made capacity development programs, following up on projects and publishing the Dialogues Magazine. EMRC is currently looking for a Project Manager to cover a maternity leave of 9 months, starting September 2013.

PROJECT MANAGER (M/F)


Reporting to: EMRC Managing Director Tasks and responsibilities: Develop EMRC Agribusiness Forum program Mobilize potential speakers and sponsors from around the world Centralise sales to delegates and sponsors Manage/ coordinate the teams and activities before, during and after the forum (the sales, communication & media, logistics) Direct sales of the forum in several countries (to sponsors and delegates) Actively follow up on projects initiated in Africa (business plans, investment projects) Manage the team during the forum (the regular EMRC team and external consultants) The following skills are required: Perfect English and French (Portuguese, Spanish or/and German are an asset) An MBA or equivalent and at least 3 years experience in managing or coordinating projects A minimum of 2 years in managing a multi task and multi cultural team Good knowledge of the European and international donor community Good understanding of the developing world, especially Africa Strong oral communication skills and creative drafting abilities A high degree of computer proficiency Knowledge of the agro-industry sector in Africa a strong asset The ideal candidate should: Be a real team player Have strong negotiation, communication and networking skills Be open minded, enthusiastic and a natural communicator Have an entrepreneurial spirit, work independently, sometimes under tight deadlines, within a small multi-national team Look to grow and develop professionally Be available to travel to Africa and elsewhere Wish to contribute to the economic development of Africa and its private sector Please send an application letter, CV and Photo to EMRC HR Manager under Ref.
