Dear Participant: We welcome you to the Training Course on Internal Quality Audit (IQA)! In view of this, we are pleased to provide you with the following information that will guide you during the duration of the course.

REGISTRATION The registration shall start at 8:30 AM on the first day of the training. PROGRAM MATERIALS Upon registration, you will be given the program kit, which includes: Identification card (to be worn throughout the program) Course Programme and Training Guide Presentation Materials or Training Handouts Pre-Training Exam and Participants Profile Sheet DURATION The training course shall be conducted for three (3) days from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. ATTENDANCE Your attendance during the training shall be compulsory. You are strongly encouraged to refrain from arranging meetings or conducting other business during the official training hours. Attendance will be monitored daily, specifically before the start of the morning and afternoon session. CERTIFICATES Certificate requirements are as follows: Certificate of completion Certificate of participation at least 90% attendance and submission of workshop outputs below 90% attendance and submission of workshop outputs

MEALS Meals and snacks shall be provided during the training. Morning/afternoon snacks will be served according to the designated time. Participants who have dietary restrictions are advised to inform the R1MC Secretariat/ coordinators prior to the first day of training so that the necessary arrangement could be done for the succeeding meals. PUNCTUALITY Participants are enjoined to observe punctuality at all times. They must be inside the training hall at least five (5) minutes before each scheduled session and/or activity. COURTESY AND DISCIPLINE Participants are expected to observe proper decorum at all times. Courtesy is expected in dealing with co-participants, resource speakers/facilitators, training staff and support staff. Cellular phones shall be turned to silent or vibrating mode to avoid distraction. STAFF ASSISTANCE During the course of the training, please feel free to approach any of the DAP Project Team for any training-related concerns. Once again, Welcome to the training! ABOUT THE COURSE


Course Description The QMS journey of Region 1 Medical Center is on the early stages of QMS implementation. The conduct of QMS internal audit is necessary for the QMS Implementation to be verified as to adequacy and effectiveness. In preparation thereof, this course is being conducted to ensure that internal QMS auditors shall be prepared by equipping them with the QMS audit knowledge and skills. Most importantly, this training shall also be provided to render guidance as they are about to check on the effectiveness of the established QMS. Course Objectives The course aims to enable the R1MC QMS Core Team members to: Be aware of, and appreciate the roles, responsibilities and qualifications of internal auditors; Gain higher appreciation of the basic concepts, principles and requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standards; and Be aware of, and appreciate the audit process and the necessary audit activities, tools, techniques and approaches. Course Methodology The course shall employ lectures, workshops, exercises, group discussions, and mock audit. Duration Participants : 28-31 May 2013 : Designed for R1MC-QMS Core Team Members
