Required Course Total Credits A minimum of 120 credits are required for completion of this program of study.

Sales/Use/Excise/Gross Receipts Taxes It is the policy of the University to collect and remit sales, use, excise, and/or gross receipts taxes in compliance with state and local taxing jurisdiction regulations which require the University to remit tax where applicable. Nontraditional Students who drop/withdraw from a course/all courses are eligible for the following refund: Before Week 1...100% tuition refund During Week 175% tuition refund During or after Week 2..No refund Fingerprint Clearance Requirement Prior to participation in any practicum/field experience, students must submit a copy of an official state or federal fingerprint or background clearance from their state. If students are seeking an Arizona Institutional Recommendation, they must have both an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and their own states fingerprint or background clearance documentation. Certification for IR Programs The Grand Canyon University College of Education is approved by the Arizona State Board of Education to offer Institutional Recommendations for the certification of elementary, secondary, and special education teachers, and principals only. Programs that lead to licensure contain a student teaching or internship component. Teacher and principal candidates are responsible for contacting their state department of education for certification requirements and program approval. The Arizona Department of Education requires all individuals applying for full certification in the state of Arizona to take 6 credits of Structured English Immersion, a US/Arizona Constitution course (POS 301) and pass the professional knowledge test of the Arizona Education Proficiency Assessment. I understand and agree that all University programs follow a Program of Study, which can be changed by the University at any time, and I grant permission for continuous enrollment and scheduling in a Program of Study, unless I officially withdraw from the University or request a formal leave of absence.
