WH Questions1 The interrogatives where, when, why, how, how much, how many, whose, which, what, who, and whom 1. Where: 2. When: 3. Who and Whom ask about the identity of one person or several people e.g. Who helped Tom today? Whom did Peter help today? or Who did Peter help to? Tom

Some expression to learn: What for and What about are conventional substitutes for Why. e.g. Why are you studying English? What are you studying English for? How about and What about have the same meaning and usage. Both expressions are merely question signals. e.g. How about the weather? What about your paper? Im about to finish it.
