While many new businesses struggle with startup costs, overhead expenses, public permitting processes, and the details of actually managing a business, the DSF will navigate the winning entrepreneur through those challenges to become Downtowns next success story. Specific terms may vary and will be negotiated directly between the winning business and selected property owner during the competition process. BRAND DEVELOPMENT MeringCarson, is a full-service advertising agency offering strategic planning, creative development, interactive and media buying services and specializes in brand development. Due to their dedication and passion for Downtown, they want to help the winner develop or refine the business brand and best position you for a strong start. MARKETING No business can survive without a strong marketing strategy. Vision Launchers, a branding and marketing company, are ready to help the winning business bring their idea to life by providing the necessary tools including website development, graphic design and photography. ACCOUNTING David Boyce founding Partner with Brown, Fink Boyce and Astle will provide the winner with up to 15 hours of accounting consult to support their needs in areas related to their financial and business operations. Brown, Fink, Boyce & Astle, LLP is a full-service Sacramento-based certified public accounting and business advisory firm serving clients primarily in Northern California and Nevada. Big Hairy Dog will provide the winning entrepreneur a QuickBooks Point Sale 2013 (OBPOS2013), single-user software license, hardware (including receipt printer, scanner, cash drawer, and credit card swiper) a tag printer, free installation and one year of unlimited training and support.

INTERIOR DESIGN Holben Design will provide an interior design consultation. Cheryl Holben has owned her own interior design business for 15 years, specializing in residential and commercial interiors. Recent projects have been completed in Sun Valley, Idaho, San Francisco, the Napa Valley and the greater Sacramento area. SIGNAGE Sign of Light will provide 20 hours of design and staff time to create a one-of-kind sign for your business. Sign of Light is a fully licensed C-10 electrical sign company. PRINTING TDogg Studios will provide the winner with their first set of business cards and flyers to let everyone know you are Open for Business!

Winner will be responsible for initiating consult and have up to a twelve-month period following the date of award to utilize pro bono services. Any unused portion of the Prize Package at the twelve-month point will be forfeited. There are no substitutions, transfers, or cash equivalents for prizes except that the DSF may, at its sole discretion, make substitution if necessary. The prizes are expressly limited to the items listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities, or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
