ONTEST PERSONAL
PROPERTY LIEN
Tenant filed a request for a hearing on a Motion to Contest Personal Property Lien to
recover possession of his personal property that he contends that Landlord is holding afer
Tenant was locked out of the premises at 1680 Sky MOlmtain Dr. Unit 45, Reno, Nevada, on
July 18, 2012. Tenant provides no specifics in his Motion as to the property in question,
whether or not the Landlord has denied him access to his property, ad whether or not the
Landlord is requesting any sums for the retur of the property and if so, whether or not those
sums are reasonable.
Pursuant to NRS 118.460 a landlord shall reasonably provide for the storage of tenant's
property left on the premises for thirty days afer an eviction and may charge and collect the
reasonable and actual costs of inventory, moving and storage before releasing the property to
the tenant or his or her authorized representative rightflly claiming the property within that
period.
Tenant's request for a hearing is premature as he was evicted on July 18,2012, and the
parties may still be able to provide for the ret of Tenant's property under NRS 118A.460.
Tenant's Motion for a hearing is denied as premature and incomplete. Tenant may renew his

Motion if he has not been able to arrange for the ret of his property as set forth in NRS
118A.460.
