Representative Ted Yoho 511 Cannon House Office Building Washington, D.C. 20515 Dear Representative Yoho:

Sunday, July 21, 2013

I read your July 17, 2013 letter to Senator Harry Reid regarding Obamacare. Thanks for sharing. I agree with your assertion that there is a critical need for real healthcare reforms in this country that will improve access to affordable health insurance, lower the unsustainable rate of health care cost growth, and will create incentives for health care providers to offer more cost effective care. You rightly said the Affordable Care Act (ACA) does none of this. I understand the neessity for professional decorum and making nice when communicating with other members of Congress. However, I disagree with your assertion that The President, his allies and Mr. Reed only had the best intentions. Lenin said, Medicine is the keystone of the arch of socialism and The goal of socialism is communism. Obamacare is Marxism/Communism. I would not have hesitated to make this point. The truth after all, is the truth. You correctly pointed out: The ACA promised a reduction in premiums by $2,000. The president promised that those who liked their insurance could keep it. That 7 million people are expected to lose their employer based health insurance. The House Energy Commission found that premiums will increase 145-189%. Florida reports that Obamacare will reduce private sector employment because business owners are unable to expand due to the heavy burden of the cost of compliance. Obamacare perpetuates a system of higher taxes and heavier reliance on welfare. It punishes the self-reliant individual and business owners while rewarding the person who relies on government. This is not the idea our founding fathers had in mind when they crafted the Constitution. He often charges the House of Representatives with wasting time by passing so many repeals of Obamacare. These repeals are a clear mandate from the people who elected their congressional representatives. However, your letter did not firmly address the fact that: Healthcare is an individual responsibility and a state right, if government involvement is necessary. The federal law mandating businesses provide a health care benefit to its workers is unconstitutional.

The dependency society we live in today is attributable to prior members of Congress failing to uphold their oaths to the Constitution. Your predecessors voted for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid et al know these programs were unsustainable over time. Nevertheless, they voted for them anyway to buy votes. Twenty-six years of representation by Cliff Stearns makes this point. So too does congressional abuse of the general welfare, necessary and proper and other clauses your peers abuse on a continuum. The road to restoring personal and economic freedom to the American people is to return to the basics. Knowing you have taken Krisann Halls five hour class on the constitution, You have read half of the federalist papers and all of the antifederalist papers, And you ran for office because you love this country, proves you know the difference. Your assertion We have a lot of work to do for if the people in government do not understand what form of government we have (a Constitutional Republic) how can they lead? accurately depicts your understanding of the problems this country faces begging the question: When can we expect you to use your knowledge and leadership skills to properly inform your peers and others that the purpose and intent of Obamacare and other misguided legislative acts are unconstitutional? You did well with Marxist Senator Reid, but you did not drive home the point that what he espouses is illegal because it is unconstitutional. Wishing you fair winds and following seas, I look forward to your reply. Yours in the Bill of Rights,

Roy G. Callahan.
