A Battle With My Smart Phone's Battery When I first purchased my smart phone, I was in love.

I was able to browse the Internet, play games, and take awe-inspiring pictures. Now that I've had my phone for a few months, I've been struggling with a constant problem; the battery life is too short. Im struggling to keep my phone battery charged every day, which has been a huge inconvenience. I had purchased this incredible machine that was able to do so many things, but now, Im struggling just to make a few phone calls and send texts before the battery is completely depleted. With light usage, about three calls a day, and 100 texts, my phones battery life lasts only about five hours. And because I do not always have access to a charger, this is becoming a serious problem. In order to get a full day of battery life, I find myself only using my phone to check the time. If I check a social networking site or browse the Internet, I get less than five hours of life. Another problem that I've been having is that even when my phone is on the charger, it will still die. If Im doing anything that requires heavy battery usage, such as a game app or watching a TV show, the battery will actually deplete while its charging. The charging battery should be able to handle a game or TV show for more than ten minutes, but it cant. Since most of my friends have smart phones, I've asked around to see if it was just my phone with a battery problem. Most of them have similar problems, and we all have different types of phones. Its hard to understand why our phones were created with all of these features to use, but their batteries aren't able to handle them. Why create a smart phone thats built for internet use, pictures, and calling when the battery actually isn't able to do those things? I feel like my phone is always on the charger, and if its not, its generally dead. With my phone battery going dead all of the time, I've missed important phone calls and text messages. It also really worries me as I enjoy going for late night rides around town. If my car were to break down one of the times when my phone has died, Id be stuck on the side of the road for a long period of time. Sure, I could get a car charger, but whats the point in having a mobile phone if it actually isn't mobile in the sense that it always needs a charger? The battery life of a smart phone is the one major problem with it. If the manufacturers were able to fix this problem, the phones would be great. Wed be able to do what the phone was built for, instead of making sure that we are constantly within ten feet of a charger and power source.
