True Love is a precious gift, which we receive from Jesus. Pure and holy affection is not a feeling, but a principle. We often mistake true love and infatuation. Whereas true love is gradual and takes into account the Law of God, infatuation is immediate, head strong and disregards the Law of God. You may say, "But I have given my promise, and shall I now retract it?" I answer, If you have made a promise contrary to the Scriptures, by all means retract it without delay, and in humility before God repent of the infatuation that led you to make so rash a pledge. Far better take back such a promise, in the fear of God, than keep it, and thereby dishonor your Maker. Infatuation has led to many a breakage of marriage and regrets of marriage. The heart yearns for human love, but this love is not strong enough, or pure enough, or precious enough, to supply the place of the love of Jesus. Only in his/her Saviour can the husband/wife find wisdom, strength, and grace to meet the cares, responsibilities, and sorrows of life. Before getting into any engagement, one should consult the parents. Slighting a mothers love, dishonouring a fathers care are sins that stand registered against us. Both man and woman should minister to each others happiness in their entire marriage life. Love is a plant of heavenly origin. It is not unreasonable; it is not blind. It is pure and holy. But the passion of the natural heart is another thing altogether. While pure love will take God into all its plans, and will be in perfect harmony with the Spirit of God, passion will be headstrong, rash, unreasonable, defiant of all restraint, and will make the object of its choice an idol. In all the deportment of one who possesses true love, the grace of God will be shown. Modesty, simplicity, sincerity, morality, and religion will characterize every step toward an alliance in marriage. Those who are thus controlled will not be absorbed in each other's society, at a loss of interest in the prayer meeting and the religious service. As youths, let us all dedicate our lives unto Jesus for He says He has great plans for us for our future if only we will obey Him. Think of how many hearts you have kept in hope after giving promises of infatuation. Retract them if they are not according to scripture then ask God for forgiveness and you will be walking in the right way with Him. A relationship founded on Gods love and promises is the best relationship that a man and woman can have. Seek it therefore!!
Due to this, the parents never get the chance to study and correct the character of the child. This eventually bring a great loss to both the parent and the child. It also minimises the love between the parent and the child which is gained between birth to the 12th year (the Golden Age). Parents may work hard for the nourishment and a high class lifestyle for their children, but that cannot compensate the neglect of their God given duty. Woe! unto you that do not reprove your child but instead work so hard to put up an army to fight Christ instead of joining Him to fight Satan. Parents have greatly played a role in the corruption that is in the world and in the youths. Parents, try to make up with your children. Teach the child so as he can grow as a God fearing person, revealing Christs character and to be of benefit to the society thus influencing those he comes across into the light and not darkness. CONCLUSION Our destiny lies on Gods hands if only we trust and obey Him. A great future lies ahead of us. Let us all trust in Jesus our hope of glory. Take the privileges, follow the narrow way by studying the Word of God that has life in it lest you perish out of ignorance. John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 1 John 5:11-14 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, He heareth us. Our time here is short. We can pass through this world but once; as we pass along, let us make the most of life. May God Bless You!
