Battles of the western front

First of all you will be put into a group of 4 - this will be your home group. In your home group, assign yourselves numbers - 1,2 ,3 & 4. Next you will be placed into expert groups with people that have the same number as you. In this group, you will research the battle below that corresponds with your number. In your expert groups, you need research your topic and create a 3 slide power point presentation about your battle - including the location, a description of how the battle was fought (ie. Tactics, use of weaponry etc), Australia's involvement and total casualties. Your power point must include images. Also, your expert group must create two questions for your home group to answer - one must be a low order question, and the other a high order question. Below each topic, there is a list of selected links which will help you find information. In these expert groups, it is important that you delegate tasks, ie. Allocate one website per person, and one person to create the power point (then send it everyone else once complete). After you've completed this task, you will then move back to your home group, and present your slides + questions to the rest of your group. When the other members of your home group present their power point, you will need to answer the questions they have created. After everyone in your home group has presented, you need to combine your slides to create one presentation - copies of which need to be saved onto all of your laptops. Finally, one group will be randomly selected to display their combined presentation to the class on the projector - you do not need to read to presentation aloud if you feel uncomfortable doing so. 1.
