After doing a Bible study, you should focus on the verses. Another word for focusing is meditation. 1.

Webster's definition

Meditate from Webster's dictionary means to reflect upon, ponder, or contemplate, to plan or intend in the mind. a) Reflect upon, To reflect means to form an image of ( an object), to mirror, to give back a likeness, and to think or consider seriously. b) Ponder, To ponder means to weigh mentally, consider carefully. c) Contemplate To contemplate means to ponder or consider thoughtfully, to regard as possible, take seriously, to intend or anticipate d) Plan or intend in the mind. Each definition from the dictionary is similar to a different Hebrew or Greek word. 2. Different meaning of the word mediation

There are at least 7 Hebrew and 2 Greek words for the word MEDITATION. a) Hebrew 1897. hagah, haw-Gaw'; to murmur (in pleasure or anger); to ponder:-imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter, roar, X sore, speak, study, talk, utter. b) Hebrew 1902. higgayown, hig-Gaw-yone; intens. from Hebrew 1897; a murmuring sound, a musical notation (prob. similar to the modern affettuoso to indicate solemnity of movement); a machination, device, meditation, solemn sound. c) Hebrew 1901. hagiyg, haw-gheeg'; akin to Hebrew 1897; murmur, complaint:-meditation, musing. d) Hebrew 1900. haguwth, haw-gooth'; from Hebrew 1897; musing:-meditation.

In the book of: Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,and then thou shalt have good success.
