Section 4: First Aid Measures Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids. Get medical aid. Skin Contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid. Section 6: Accidental Release Measures Small Spills: Clean up spills immediately, observing proper precautions. Sweep up, then place into a suitable container for disposal. Large Spills: Ventilate area of spill. Clean-up personnel should wear proper protective equipment. Avoid creating dust. Sweep or scoop up and containerize for disposal Section 8: Exposure Controls & Personal Protection Engineering Controls: Use adequate general or local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations below the permissible exposure limits. Personal Protection: Chemical safety goggles, protective gloves, protective clothing Personal Protection in case of Large Spills: A NIOSH/MSHA chemical cartridge respirator should be worn if PEL or TLV is exceeded.
