Industrial Automation is a discipline that includes knowledge and expertise from various branches of engineering including Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, and Mechanical, Communications and more recently Computer and Software engineering. Industrial Automation Engineers have always drawn new technologies and implemented original or enhanced versions to meet their requirements. As the range of technology diversifies the demand on the innovative ability of these Engineers has increased. This workshop will be beneficial to faculty and students from all engineering disciplines to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the field of instrumentation and Automation. Topics covered in this programme are as follows: Sensing Solutions Panel Components Automation Systems Drives and Motion Controls

ORGANIZING INSTITUTION The Karpagam Charity Trust was promoted by Dr.R.Vasanthakumar, Chairman and Managing trustee, in 1989, with a vision to serve and lead the society by imparting quality based education as the mission. Karpagam College of Engineering was established in 2000, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Karpagam College of Engineering offering four years B.E/B.Tech. Degree courses in Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical, Automobile, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication and Information Technology apart from M.E, MBA and MCA programmes. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Department of EIE was started in 2008, has qualified faculty members, well-equipped laboratories such as Transducers and Measurement Lab, Process Control Lab, Virtual Instrumentation Lab, Industrial Instrumentation Lab, Electronics Circuits Lab, control system and simulation with latest software packages are also available. The main objective of the department is to produce talented and zealous Electronics and Instrumentation Engineers to satisfy the industrial needs. Every year the Department organizes series of programmes periodically. RESOURCE PERSON Sessions will be handled by Experts from Reputed industries.
