This course is a course set up to have students understand the United States
History, how the United States was formed and the events that have lead up to the current
United States. It will focus on the political, economic, and social features of our history.
It will be broen up into two semesters, having an e!am at the end of each semester
covering that semester"s material.
The class will be taught at the Honors level, and will be designed to help prepare
the students for college, as well as e!pecting a certain amount of personal responsibility
of students that choose to tae the class at the honors level.

S#((lies Three)ring noteboo, loose)leaf noteboo paper *preferably college ruled+,
pens and pencils, highlighter, art supplies when re,uested *or use what is provided+
)oteboo*s -ou will be re,uired to tae notes in class, which should be included in your
noteboo. This noteboo should also include information that I will give you in class,
writing assignments through the year, and any other handouts that are given. These
noteboos are sub.ect to be graded at anytime if I feel students have not been bringing
them to class or eeping their materials together. This is a cumulative class and students
are e!pected to eep their material throughout the entire year

I update I012 often, so please chec I012 with grading ,uestions and then feel free to
email me if further information is needed. #rades not turned in when the assignment is
put into I012 are put in as 3eros. This does not mean the grade will stay a 3ero,
especially if the reason is an e!cused absence/ rather the assignment is not currently in.

4ate wor will not be accepted after a wee, unless further arrangements are
made. 5ach day it is late points will be deducted accordingly.

-ou will have either a ,ui3, test, or pro.ect to be graded on each unit, possibly all
three.
0ot everything will be a graded assignment/ some things will be participation,
others .ust to chec for learning.

including plagiarism.

3bsen"es It is the responsibility of the st#dents to arrange for any mae)up
assignments, including tests. They will not be given during class time *e!ceptions being
study halls that align with my planning period+. They must come see me before or after
school and mae a scheduled appointment *using si,n#(,eni#s4 a lin to this site is
provided on www.acesin&&7.com+ to mae up wor after school or before school. This
must be done within a wee of the student returning unless other arrangements have been
made. If this is not done, the student will receive a 3ero for that assignment, which can be
very harmful to their grade and more importantly their understanding of the course.
8ae)up assignments will generally be different from the assignments that are given in
class, they will cover the same material, but not necessarily in the same format to insure
the validity of the assignment, and in some cases to mae the best use of time.
