Isha Foundation
Isha Foundation is an international public service organization, founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, dedicated to the enhancement of physical, mental and inner well-being of all people. Isha Foundation has over 150 centers in India and other parts of the world including USA, Canada, Lebanon, Cyprus, France, and Germany. Isha Foundation is registered as a Charitable Trust in India under section 80 (G) of the Income Tax Act; Isha Foundation is registered as a non-profit 501 (c) 3 taxexempt organization in the USA
Immediate Relief
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of Isha Foundation, made extended personal visits to affected areas and led a team of 2,500 dedicated volunteers with prior experience in social outreach programs. Immediate relief measures included:
Health Clinics deployed from the Foundations Project Action for Rural Rejuvenation Program
Each clinic staffed by two qualified allopathic physicians and a paramedical support staff of four Provided vaccination and medical care to over 48,000 patients in the disaster area Dispensed medicines worth Rs. 1 million ($23,529)
Immediate Relief
Essential Items Distribution: 60 tons of food
items and new clothing, drinking water and basic utensils
emotional support to severely affected individuals who were experiencing a deep state of shock
Local government authorities have requested expansion of services into 2 more villages:
Periyakuppam Maniyarpettai
Contingent on economic support and governmental permission, Isha Foundation is prepared to extend services to additional villages.
