ABOUT US
Learn to Read English
the Easy Way
This book teaches reading in a
simplified manner by exposing the
beginning reader to only a few letters of the
alphabet and simple words at one time. The
reading lessons start with only a few letters
of the alphabet.
Word recognition is strengthened by
the repetition of already learned letters and
words along with new ones. The other
letters are introduced on a staggered basis to
avoid confusion of shapes, forms , and
sounds.
This process is repeated in succeeding
pages and gradually on to the next pages
until all the letters in the English alphabet
are introduced to the readers.
The Dolch Basic Sight Words
included here are those selected by experts
to be mastered by the preschool child .
These sight words will make the
unlocking of new words easier in
succeeding reading lessons.

GENERAL INFORMATION
About this book
The lessons in this book are structured on the
copyrighted “7 to Z Method.” The idea in this book is to
introduce the letters in a gradual and systematic manner
This is the first in a series of four books to introduce
and help the child master the art of reading English..

Mastery of the Alphabet

The introduction of letters is selective. The
sequence of the letters introduced is not alphabetical but in
an arbitrary sequence to avoid confusion in shape, form
and pronunciation.
The beginning reader must first have a background
of the spoken word in English, a basic understanding of
forms and shapes, as the triangle, square, circle, etc., and
a sense of sound discrimination before being introduced
to this book.
Emphasis in this book is in the development of a
hearing, speaking and reading vocabulary.
The teacher or tutor should lead the child into
associating the figures or illustrations with the words
heard or spoken.
Repetition is encouraged so the reader learns the
words and figures by rote.
