Try this healthy delicious snack. It is made from raw/ organic ingredients. Be "kind" to your body today. Homemade KIND Bars (adapted from Sweet and Savory by Sarah) Use Raw/Organic ingredients of your choice from the following: Nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, pecans, cashews, etc) Seeds (pepistas, sunflower, chia, etc) Dried Fruit (cranberries, raisins, strawberries, etc) Additions (peanut butter, coconut, cinnamon, etc) 1/4 Cup Barley Malt Syrup (found in Health Food Stores) Kosher Salt 8x8 baking dish lined with aluminum foil that's sprayed with cooking spray 350 degree oven Dark chocolate (melted then drizzle over cooled bars) Directions: Mix together 1-1/2 Cup nuts, 1/2 cup seeds, 1/3 Cup dried Fruit along with additional ingredients (coconut, etc) , 1/4 Cup Barley Malt Syrup and Salt. Mixture will be very thick and sticky. Pour into 8x8 baking dish. Press mixture into baking dish. Bake 16-20 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. Cut into bars. Lift out of baking dish with aluminum foil still intact. Very important to NOT remove the foil !!!! Place in fridge till firm. Then remove portions from foil. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate once completely cooled.
