The concept behind FORMULA SAE:

A fictional manufacturing company has contracted a student design team to develop a small Formula-style race car. The prototype race car is to be evaluated for its potential as a production item. The target marketing group for the race car is the non-professional weekend autocross racer.

Pravega is the Sanskrit word for High Speed. Pravega Racing is a team of budding engineers from VIT University, participating in the Formula SAE events held at any one of the 7 places all over the world. The team was put together in 2008 and since then we have been striving to grow and learn.
Every year, the recruitment of new members is conducted by testing the practical and technical skills of aspirants, followed by interviews by seniors and the faculty.

To build a strong organisation which by itself ensures professionalism and eventual excellence. To develop and maintain a strong professional relationship with the Engineering community of India.

Pravega Racing seeks Financial support from key industry players to design , fabricate and compete at FSAE Italy 2013, with their formula style open wheeled, open cockpit car. In an attempt to grow and learn as a professional firm, Pravega racing incorporates various industry philosophies in its work environment.As an example Kaizen and 5S practices are followed in the manufacture and assembly phases of vehicle fabrication.
