Model 260-8XI and 260-8XPI has even more features than you have come to expect from its predecessors. The yellow case colour for enhanced visibility and user safety awareness is the trademark of this series. The durable ABS plastic case also provides high-impact resistance and increased drop protection in the toughest environments. All of this is combined with audible continuity checks, mirrored scale for parallax reduction, zero RFI emission, resettable overload circuit protection relay (260-8XPI only), instant trend information for quick positive yes/no checks and a UL 1244 listing. In addition, special calibration circuits and components are combined with Simpsons regular, strict manufacturing controls. Simpsons new Falcon series is a low cost family of high quality digital panel meters accepting a broad spectrum of DC, AC and AC True RMS voltage and current inputs. All Falcon models feature built in display scaling, and selectable decimal to provide system flexibility for most any process application. For maximum current readings, external current transformers or current shunts can be used with the Falcon to display AC or DC currents up to 1,999 amps. For high visibility, the Falcon has a 3-1/2 digit 0.56 (14.2 mm) red LED display and uses precision circuitry to provide a basic accuracy of 0.1% 1 digit for DC inputs. Compactly designed for applications requiring minimal read panel depth, stock models are AC powered and fit a standard 1/8 DIN panel cutout. A screw terminal barrier connector is provided for easy termination of all connections.
