What is NTSE?
The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a National Level scholarship program in India to identify and nurture talented students. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship for the entire Academic Career. Students studying in Class X are eligible to appear for the selection process. As it is organized by an official body (NCERT), it is widely regarded as the most prestigious examination at high school level in India. For more details of NTSE, students can visit www.ncert.nic.in There is a two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage - I, selection will be done by States/UTs through the written examination. Each State/Union Territory has been allotted a quota to recommend a specific number of candidates for the Stage - II examination, the details of which are available on NCERT website (www.ncert.nic.in). Students who qualify Stage - I will be eligible to appear for Stage - II examination conducted by NCERT.
Stage II (National)
Course Structure:
Entire course will be covered in 2 Phases with National Phase Tests. Subject wise packages. Additional problems will be supplemented wherever necessary. Students should not require any additional books etc. 10 All India Mock Test Papers (MAT Test [Paper 1] of 45 minutes duration & SAT Test [Paper 3] of 90 minutes duration will be conducted and the Language (English) Test [Paper 2] will be handed over for taking test at home). Online Test Series & Analysis. Mock NTSE Test Papers. Students also gain important exam practice through quizzes, phase tests & mock tests (conducted in a simulated environment giving the students a feel of the real exam) that can help them improve their examination temperament - a necessary element for success in any competitive exam. Regular feedbacks & test analysis sessions. MAT Classes. Dedicated Academic Operations team provides feedback at any point of time apart from scheduled parent teacher meetings.
Duration:
165 hrs. including classroom interaction and 22 hrs 30 minutes of testing Time (10 tests of 2hrs 15 min. duration)

Admission Procedure: Exam Date: 18th August, 2013 Exam Schedule & Pattern:
Objective Paper : There will be two sections (i) SAT (90 Minutes) which will consist of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Social Science and (ii) MAT (45 Minutes) which will consist of questions of Mental Ability with verbal, non-verbal reasoning. Exam Timing: 9:30 am 12:15 pm Note: Actual duration for answering Paper will be 2 hours 15 minutes. First 30 minutes will be provided for filling up the information on the answer OMR sheet and for reading the examination instructions.
