THEORETICAL PRACTICE August 5th 2013 November 15th 2013 The process of globalization that has been carried out in the last years, as well as the advance of the science and the technology in Colombia, has promoted the need of the English as the second language both for professionals and for academicians. For this reason the student of the department of the Public Accounting of the Foundation St Martin University needs for his/her professional development the knowledge of this language, in order to confront the needs and the requirements of the national and international, public or private organizations for which are working. It is because of it that the department of accounting European has decided to adopt the standards proposed in the Common European Frame of Reference for the education of the foreign and like that languages to educate integral students. GENERAL Educate integrally book-keepers in the Foundation Sant Martin University that they handle a level of language corresponding to the level A2 of the European Frame of Common Reference. To increase the above mentioned level of long-term language to the level B1 and immediately afterwards to the B2. SPECIFICS Use the TIC as tool of the auto-learning work. Increase in a progressive way the vocabulary of accounting area. Develop an Oral Project each semester

COMPETENCES, ACHIEVEMENTS, METHODOLOGIC STRATEGIES COMPETENCES The conceptual education defines a new pedagogic alternative paradigm to the memoristic-informative education. With it the young people will be in aptitude to assimilate powerful Instruments of Knowledge to understand, and to use the second language as the most effective and useful tool which we possess to think, to express our thoughts and understand knowledge from other cultures. Also it allows to understand technical and scientific texts in the corresponding disciplines (bibliographical reserch); which generates a major acquisition of the knowledge included across the Internet and the different mass media. It increases the work ascent opportunities and finally, facilitates the work training in the programs of the leading technology. Interpretative Competences By means of this competence, the student will do rational abstraction of the legal texts (Legal Hermeneutics) to try his application to the commercial and professional field. In the same way, the student will be in aptitude to combine receptive and productive elements to receive information, to analyze it and to process it in agreement with his level. the systematic and causal understanding of the practices and accounting procedures. He/She will do writing documents about the analysis, reflection and critique of readings related to the theoretical, technical and technological perspective of the accounting. He/She will add to his/her process of rational criteria formation in order that daily it should judge the knowledge and practices that this receiving in the university, in order that it projects them towards a better professional future performance. It will realize readings documents using the international context in the second language. Investigative Competences Though this competence the student will realize all kind of research of the primary sources and bibliographical explorations; fieldworks that allow him to interpret the royal managerial variables and of the commercial activity, as well as his synthesis, analysis of results and the consolidation of information as a document of research work. ACHIEVEMENTS According to Common Reference European Frame for Languages: Learning, Education and Evaluation ", the levels of performances in English are given in a gradual way and seek to articulate the goals and hereby to tend for the dominate of the language.
