In April Stuart (our President) gave a complete lecture to our Club on the rudiments of investing in
philately. He discussed the importance of discrepancies in catalogue prices between Scotts , Michel and
Gibbons catalogues, and how to take advantage of those differences. He also described factors like world
economic and geopolitical change as it relates to stamp investment.

Rick Erat ( visiting Dealer), from Syracuse, New York, will give a two- fold
lecture on dual topics, the use of computers for stamp collectors and dealers,
and preparing framed exhibits for stamp shows. Many larger stamp shows have
both judged and non- competitive framed exhibits, which serve to educate the
public and other stamp collectors. We cannot wait to hear Rick’ s lecture!
