To qualify for rebates, eligible appliances meeting the following standards must be purchased by
September 30, 2009, and installed within EWEB's electric service area. Coupons must be submitted
within 90 days of purchase.

Appliance Rebate Program Standards

To qualify for a rebate, ENERGY STAR® clothes washers shall have a Modified
Clothes Washer Energy Factor > 1.72 and a Water Factor < 8.0.

To qualify for a rebate, ENERGY STAR dishwashers shall have:


Standard (> 8 place settings + six serving pieces) – EF > 0.65;
Dishwasher Compact (< 8 place settings + six serving pieces) – EF > 0.88.

To qualify for a rebate, ENERGY STAR refrigerators shall have:


Full-size
Volume of 7.75 cubic feet or greater; At least 20% more energy efficient than the
Refrigerator minimum federal government standard (NAECA).

EWEB has partnered with JACO Environmental to recycle your old/second


Refrigerator / refrigerator or freezer. Call 1-866-444-8907 to schedule a pick-up. The units are
Freezer Recycling decommissioned and recycled, eliminating costly energy consumption. The units
Rebate must be in working condition at time of pick-up. In addition to free pick-up/haul off
you will receive a $30 rebate. To qualify the unit must be 10 to 30 cubic feet; Energy
Star models do not qualify for this offer. Maximum of two rebates per household.

To qualify for a rebate, ENERGY STAR freezers shall have:


Full-size Freezer Volume of 7.75 cubic feet or greater; At least 10% more energy efficient than the
minimum federal government standard (NAECA).

Electric storage water heaters shall meet the following requirements:


• 50-gallon models with a 0-19 yr tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.93
Electric • 50-gallon models with a min. 20 yr tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.94
Water • 65-gallon models with a 0-19 yr tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.91
Heaters • 65-gallon models with a min. 20 yr tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.94
• 80-gallon models with a 0-19 yr tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.91
• 80-gallon models with a min. 20 yr tank warranty shall have an EF not less than 0.92

EF = energy factor

Qualifying ENERGY STAR models may be found at www.energystar.gov. Qualifying electric water heaters are rated for equipment
efficiency, and the manufacturers’ data can be found on the Gas Appliance Manufacturers’ Association web site at
http://www.gamanet.org/. Models qualifying for the Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credit may be found at
http://egov.oregon.gov/ENERGY/CONS/RES/tax/appliances.shtml
