Role: Telemarketing for Volunteer Recruitment - Focus Ireland What's Involved? This is part of the Shine a Light, Focus Ireland's annual national flag day. We are looking for volunteers to call our 2012 volunteers to encourage participation for this year's campaign and to register volunteers for the campaign on 18-20 October. Where: 9-12 H igh Street, Dublin 8 When: 18-20 October Role: Call Centre Operator - St. Patricks Mental Health Foundation What's Involved? ***World Mental Health Day will take place on Thursday October 10th.*** To coincide with World Mental Health Day, St. Patricks Mental Health Foundation are asking the public to get involved in Walk in My Shoes. Volunteers will be stationed in a pop-up call centre in St. Patrick's University Hospital, D8. Each volunteer will be allocated a short 'phone list' with 10 contacts to call. A telephone script will be provided. Calls will take no longer than 5 minutes each. Where: James Street, Dublin 8. When: 12 hours a week for one year Role: Club Leader - Guide, Mentor, Facilitator of Young People - Foroige What's Involved? Club Leaders are sought in our clubs based in South Dublin County area . Tasks include working together in a team of other like minded adults, to create a fun, attractive space for teenagers to meet, hang out, have fun and be exposed to new and diverse experiences. Where: Various Dublin locations When: 1 evening a week for four hours Role: Volunteer School Speaker Role - City of Dublin YMCA What's Involved: e are hoping to engage with schools across Dublin City & County by providing talks on the work of Dublin YMCA and the social issues we face on a day-to-day basis i.e. homelessness, drugs, early school leavers, poverty, social exclusion etc. To do this we are looking to recruit 4 volunteer School Speakers to carry out these talks. ***Successful candidates will be expected to carry out 2-3 talks which should take approximately 6-9 hours per week Where: Dublin When: 9 hours a week Role: Communications and Policy Intern - Volunteer Ireland What's Involved: Drafting articles, blog posts, promotional materials and press releases Social media management (Facebook, Twitter) Working as part of our Communications team Supporting event and campaign management Planning and co-ordination for National Volunteering Week 2014 Liaising with suppliers Assist in compiling and editing VIs quarterly newsletter Assist in internal communications Support the day-to-day activities in the Volunteer Ireland office Other office, reception and/or administrative duties as required Where: Temple Bar, Dublin 2 When: 21 hours a week for six months Role: Data Entry Volunteer - Irish Cancer Society What's Involved: Entering and maintaining accurate and complete Daffodil Centre enquirer record forms into ICS survey monkey database. Undertaking administrative duties as required, including word processing, answering the telephone, filing and assisting with mass mailings.
