Since the construction of our first elevated tank in 1894, CB&I has become a global leader in the design and construction of elevated water storage tanks. We pioneered the transition to welded steel tanks in the 1930s and invented the original Hydropillar tank in 1962. We also have been instrumental in the development of the AWWA standards, beginning with the first D100 standard in 1941, continuing today through active organization and committee participation.
