PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with GM's Passlock II passive fuel cut-off system. See the security diagram for bypass information. * The 4300 V6 engine still uses a single coil on the top of the engine, tach wire is WHITE. On the V8 engines, there is a coil for each cylinder, each with a 4 pin plug. Each plug contains a BLACK, BROWN & PINK, as well as a 4th wire which changes color on each coil. This 4th wire can be used as your tach reference, set your remote starter for a 1 cylinder signal. You can also use a WHITE at pin10 of the 80-pin connector on the PCM at the left front of the engine compartment for a 8 cylinder signal. ** The Body Control Module is located directly below the steering column. Factory security is only available on the LS & LT models. *** The factory alarm can be armed by grounding the driver's doorpin TAN, while locking the doors. **** TAN is driver's door & LT.BLUE is passenger side door. ***** Located at pin-3 on the C4 24-pin plug (4.3L only). Located at pin-50 of C2 80-pin connector for all other engines.
