Sundays we have youth meetings in Inhaminga we
decided to come by foot and leave the car there until the
sun will come. It was a wonderful 5 hours trip through

And it was worth it.

and for sure we will

people again. Now as
we have a road to get
there….
Easter
Before going to Chite God gave me the scripture from 2
Corinthians 4:16-18 where it speaks about our earthly
bodies which may be wasting away but our inward is
renewed everyday. It helped me a lot for the time that
came when I got sick and weak. It is a big deal and a great
struggle for me to just sit and do nothing. But I learned to
rest in God covered by the precious blood of Jesus and
believe with all my heart that I am healed.
As it was my first day being sick and not knowing how
bad it was I was happy to leave with the group of students
that went to Chite. I learned on the way traveling in the
back of the tractor for 4 hours that actually I was not
feeling good enough to leave the base.
I was the only women with 14 men. I had to show to all of
them hard as I could that I am Ok because for them seeing
that a missionary is sick was strange and unusual. Even so
they could see that I wasn’t very well so they were
praying for me and as much they could they took care of

one to lead and take care of them.
Chite is one of the places where it is hard to get to
especially when is raining. The road makes a difference
in the way we can visit these places. For the last year the
church struggled because of bad leadership. It is so hard
to let someone responsible for the new churches because
of the lack of men who can read and write. It is a miracle
to find someone that is married with one woman that is
not involved in witchcraft or politics.
The one man that was in charge at this church has the
abilities and gift as a leader but his problem is that he
doesn’t use them with wisdom and fear of God.
There are lots of kids there and many young adults so
there is hope
for a change
in that place.
Tomorrow
will be
different.
At the
meetings we
had people
coming from
far away
walking,
excited to celebrate together the resurrection of Jesus.
That night we went very late to sleep as everyone was
excited and ready to pass actually all night singing and
dancing. For sure they can dance and never get tired of it.
Two men were beating hard the 2 big drums in the
middle of a group of women and girls. It was a big
celebration for them and actually that was our intention:
to celebrate together Jesus Resurrection!!
Next day we had lunch together. Lino managed to buy
and kill a goat which was enough for all of us together
with one bag of 25 kg of rice.
That Sunday before the daybreak the students woke
everyone up singing and shouting: Jesus is alive! Yesu
alamuka!!
We had two morning services with songs, drums, drama,
Holy Communion, message… we celebrate together with
people from Chite, Nhanssosue, Zonguguni and Baua.
We have so much to celebrate and be grateful! Our Jesus
is alive! He has been on the cross and in the grave:
beaten, crucified, despised, abandoned, alone, cold and
hungry. There is no place where we can get where He
wasn’t there before. The great news is that He made a
way out and now we live in that victory! We thank you
Jesus!
