Terms and Conditions

East Riding of Yorkshire Council reserves the right to cancel any of the courses offered. Fees are correct at the time of printing but we reserve the right to alter the fees during the academic year. Course fees do not include books, stationery or materials. Courses may be closed or combined if learner numbers fall below the point at which the course is financially viable. Learner numbers need to remain viable throughout the course and we reserve the right to close or combine classes in subsequent terms (if applicable). Learners will be contacted if the course is to be cancelled prior to the first session and full fees refunded. If the course closes after the first session you will be signposted to any suitable alternative courses. If an alternative course is not available you will be offered a full refund. Refunds will only be given if the course is cancelled by the service. If you enrol on a course and withdraw before it starts, without informing the Adult Education centre, you will not be entitled to a refund. Please note that exams may take place at a time/day/venue different to the course you have enrolled on. Most courses are open to people aged 16+ although learners in full time education must provide a letter from their head teacher giving them permission to attend. Learners aged 16-18 must provide details of any other study being undertaken at a 6th form college, FE College or other education provider prior to enrolment. No responsibility/liability is accepted for the loss of damage to clothing or any other property left on the premises or in car parks.
