BBQ and Pool Party! All those who were in grade 7&8 last year, and those who are going into grade 7 and 8 this year are invited on Monday, August 19th from 6-8:30 pm at Matt Wiersma's pool (329 Mercer St.) Bring a snack to share. Hotdogs and burgers will be provided.

Youth Group: Our camping trip is booked for the weekend of September 6-8 at The Pinery. Cost is $40 plus park entrance fee ($2.82). More details to follow soon.

To all Sunday school teachers: First of all I would like to thank Bill Folkerts and Michelle Koomans for the years they have taught, and now have decided to be of service in a different capacity. Thank you for the other teachers who decided to stay on for this upcoming season. I would like to ask members of our congregation to consider becoming a Sunday school teacher. If you like kids, and like to teach, you have the right mix. Please consider this rewarding and fun activity. Profession of Faith: With great joy we look forward to hearing the public profession of faith during our morning worship services of Brianna Vyn and Kaitlyn Vyn on August 25 and of Stacie Visser on September 15. GEMS: We are looking forward to starting our new season in September - the Theme for the upcoming year is He must become greater; I must become less (John 3:30). Some of the counselors attended the GEMS Leaders conference this summer and we are full of great ideas for the year ahead. However, the GEMS group does need some counselors in order to offer the program to all interested girls: We are looking for: - a grade 3/4 counselor from Sept to Dec. - a co-counselor for grade 6 - 1 counselor or 2 co-counselors for grades 7/8 Please prayerfully consider if you can help us out and contact Claire Prins (cprins65@gmail.com or 519-352-6643). Construction Update: Block layers are continuing their work and the shape of the new addition is becoming more visible every day! The underground service has also been completed. Church Office: The church office will be CLOSED this week while Kathy is on holidays. However, please e-mail any bulletin announcements, etc. to grace@ciaccess.com as needed the e-mail will be checked and responded to regularly.

CHURCH ACTIVITIES HAPPENING THIS WEEK: Monday: Jr. Youth Pool Party, 6-8:30 pm @ Matthew Wiersmas (see back of bulletin for more details) ANNOUNCEMENTS: LIBRARY NEWS: We now have books #2 & #3 in the Wings of Glory Series. These are World War II novels by Sarah Sundin. She is a master at emotional writing and she has that rare talent of being able to combine humour with heart-pounding action.
