De Lisboa para o resto do país e
além fronteiras a arte urbana vai
vestir um nome: PopUp Lisboa
2009
O PopUp Lisboa 2009 consiste
numa iniciativa de arte urbana a
nível nacional. Parte de Hugo Israel
a ideia de aproveitar espaços
urbanos devolutos ou inutilizados
para serem ocupados pelas obras
de artistas emergentes. Sem fins
lucrativos, pretende apenas
interferir na autoconsciência do
cidadão urbano dentro de um
espírito existencialista: o indivíduo
e a sociedade, a forma como este
o assimila e exterioriza. As
fronteiras Eu/Corpo, Eu/Outro,
Eu/Sociedade, Eu/Universo estão
patentes nas obras de mais de
uma dezena de artistas nacionais.
A inauguração da exposição
colectiva vai ser no dia 5 de Junho
na antiga Cavalariça do palácio da
Trindade, no nº18 da Rua da
Trindade ao Largo do Carmo. É no
dia da inauguração que vão actuar
os Macacos do Chinês, Barbara
Lagido, e o Dj Rui Pregal da Cunha.
Também neste dia alunos da
Escola Superior de Dança vão
preencher a Rua da Trindade ao
Carmo. Até terminar, no dia 9 de
Julho são diversos os Workshops
a ter lugar na antiga cavalariça: -comum da Arte Urbana” e
“Projectos: duplas criativas”.

A ocupação de espaços devolutos
O Ciclo de Conversas terá lugar
na Fundação Portuguesa das
Comunicações por onde irão
ou inutilizados com arte será a
pedra toque do projecto nas
diferentes cidades que visitar. O

Lisboa 2009, um ciclo de conversas
de arte sobre temas de indiscutível
actualidade no meio artístico. O

From Lisbon to the remainder of
the country and beyond borders,
urban art will have a name:
PopUp Lisboa 2009.
PopUp Lisboa 2009 is a nation-wide
urban art iniciative. The ideia of
taking urban spaces which are
vacant or unutilized and using them
to present works of up-and-coming
artists comes from Hugo Israel.
With no lucrative intent, its aim is
to interfere with the urban citizens'
self-conscience, within an
existencialist spirit:: the individual
himself and society, the way in which
he assimilates and externalizes it..
The borders I/body, I/the other,
I/society, I/universe are present in
the works of more than a dozen
national artists.
The collective exhibition's opening
will take place on June 5th, in the
old stables of Palácio da Trindade,
Rua da Trindade, nº 18, in the vicinity
of Largo do Carmo. The opening
will include live acts from Macacos
do Chinês, Bárbara Lagido and Dj
Rui Pregal da Cunha. Dance
students from Escola Superior de
Dança will take Rua da Trindade by
storm. Until its closing, on July 9th,
several workshops will take place in
the old stables: Therapy through
Art, Feng Shui, Urban Recycling and "Projects: Creative Pairs". It shall
