Vehicle note:

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a SENTRY-KEY immobilizer passive anti-theft system. Please refer to the ALARM diagram before any remote start installation. If this vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, you may experience range problems with after-market alarms or remote starters. The solution is to unplug the factory RF antenna connector from the Body Control Module.

The BCM is located above the driver's kickpanel. The antenna is a WHITE 6-pin plug with 2 wires in it (RED & BLACK) located at the back of the Fuse/junction block facing the firewall. * This is a 6-cylinder signal on the V-6, 2 cylinder signal on the 4 cylinder engine. If black/gray on V6 causes starter to stay on, use any one of the fuel injection wires at injectors at front of engine and set to one cylinder. ** This vehicle uses a single wire doorlock system with resistors. A 620-ohm resistor will lock the doors and a 2700-ohm resistor will unlock the doors. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory alarm, the LT.GREEN/ORANGE security wire will lock and unlock the doors making the use of the WHITE/DK.GREEN doorlock wire unnecessary. See the DOORLOCK diagram. *** The BCM is part of the Fuse/junction block above the driver's kickpanel. The C5 connector exits the bottom. **** The fuse-panel/junction block is located below the driver's side of the dash above the kickpanel. See the DOORLOCK diagram for the exact location of the wire you need. ***** This vehicle uses a single wire with resistors for arm/disarm. A 900-ohm resistor will arm and lock the doors. A 430-ohm resistor will disarm (double pulse to unlock doors). When using this wire, the doorlock wire is not needed since the security wire will also operate the doorlocks.
